After the deposits came in for the new run, I got my hardwoods ordered, and re-upped on other shop essentials such as glue, drills, dremel collets, diamond bits and sanding drums. I didn't want to alarm anyone so I didn't mention this yet, but my belt order failed. The Red Label Abrasives website kept telling me I had to enter a different shipping address, even though the one I kept trying to use was the same as the one I used for my last order, and unfortunately, by the time I got to the belt order it was already after 5 pm on Friday. I was stressed because these guys have been my one stop shop for belts that work with my machine for the last four years, and I don't know what I'd do without them.
All I could do was send them an email letting them know what had happened, with a screenshot of my order and ask them to put it through manually for me. Checked my email a few times today and although a rep emailed me earlier in the morning to say he would do that for me, I ended up calling later after I never saw that come in. The person who answered the phone was Tony, the owner, and he informed me that they had been bombarded with emails from people who had tried to place an order over the weekend for Canada shipments. He told me he'd get the invoice out to me in a few minutes, and he did! So that is done and paid now, and Red Label Abrasives deserves a long overdue post in the GB&U. Then it's off to the shop again to keep filling those MagnaCut orders I have blanks in stock for.
