What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

I thought I was going to go home after that post but I ended up grinding a blade. And adding scales. And satin finishg the blade. And shaping the scales. And wondering what a sledgehammer has to do with jumping.

So actually I did that when I was 13 or 14 but I didn’t understand centre of gravity and, well, I landed on my head. No helmet. Ever since then I have religiously worn a helmet when cycling. That is decades of commuting in multiple cities and sometimes up to 15 miles a day. Not once had an accident where the helmet would have helped since that time as a kid. But I still wear it and still will.

Did that in the 1st grade, with my first broken arm as the prize...
