What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

You can find pre order info for the upcoming run in about seven hundred new threads in the sub.

Strongly looking at changing my makers mark.

Seeya next week everyone. Have a safe and blessed Sunday.

I just found a single acorn in my canvas bag of MagnaCut only scotchbrite belts. I feel like this is something I would remember having placed therein, had I done so. But I don’t.

Hopefully I can get this little batch done in time for belated Christmas dinner Saturday.

Pics tomorrow hopefully.

Jarod texted me last night to inform me has cut my two remaining AEB-L sheets (the rest of the "Loose Ends Run" as per the thread title of the same name), so I will have another couple dozen AEB-L blades in stock before the New Jersey Steel Baron and Peters run arrives. These next blades from the Loose Ends Run are not claimed yet, although there are a few guys who have expressed interest in some of the models I have coming. He shared pics of the cut sheets, but they are not yet heat treated. He's a busy guy so if I had to guess we're still a month or three away. Possibly more. Possibly less. I don't really know.

So the current plan is to finish up as many ROFR orders on the books as possible (i.e. orders without deposits) before the NJSB 2025 Run arrives. Once the JT Loose Ends Run arrives, and if I have time, I will show the blades here, and disclose which ones are available. It's possible those blades arrive before the NJSB blades, and if so, I will bang out however many of those I can until the NJSB run arrives. Once it does, orders on it will be processed in the order that deposits on them were taken, i.e. first in, first out, with some exceptions, a notable one being Lucky Dog Knife Co Lucky Dog Knife Co , as Andrew has placed a large volume order that will need to be spaced out over time, with a few being made each month once they arrive.

Good Knife Co. will also be processed in the first month it arrives, as the project was initially proposed to me as being knives for a planned trip in the summer, and I will make every effort to have them ready well in advance of the specified date.

As for ROFR, I know there are a number of you I notified late last year that I would be able to start your orders soon, and you have yet to see movement on them. I have not forgotten, only been delayed due to both the holidays, and working out the logistics of the NJSB 2025 run. I will be reaching out to everyone I have in the book for an ROFR knife as I'm able to complete them. I will silently tag each of you so that if anything has changed for you regarding your order you can let me know, otherwise I will proceed with it as I have it in the book.

The first of those will be for Lucky Dog, as he has a dozen 3V knives on order, and they are going to be my first completed blades of 2025.

For anyone still looking at reserving a blade from the run, I've updated the pre-order threads to indicate which models or, alloy iterations thereof, didn't make the cut this time around.
