What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Just updated the pic with a shaded portion so you can better see the change I made to the handle. It's subtle, but I like it a lot more.
An elegant blade shape; slightly re-curved and with a long gentle belly up to the tip...nice work, David.

Hello friends. Sorry to not have a whole lot to show lately. And I even forgot my phone when I went to the shop today. But I now have black Grip-Tec™ for at least a couple dozen knives, and black Boltaron, and eyelets for a couple hundred sheaths. Also got in black and tan raptor skin Hosltex and black carbon fiber Holstex for several dozen knives. I'm dropping stacks of cash to load up for 2025, and I am not done yet. Next will be a new and probably larger than ever before grinding belt order, and then of course the 100 each blade run of MagnaCut, 15N20, and AEB-L. Thankfully, though, I am not flat broke as a result. There is a very slight convex. ;)

I also have the current batch ready for sheaths (hand sanding those handles took longer than expected, partly due to a tweak in my process that caused a bit of back tracking, but I think will be worth it and save time on subsequent orders), and that is where things stand for now.

I just talked to New Jersey Steel Baron. I did not realize that sending such a large number of designs in at once for a quote was so unusual, so the process to get quotes for all the designs back is taking a while.

New Jersey Steel Baron has sent me quotes for almost three quarters of the designs I sent in. The rep has informed me he will try to finish quoting the rest of them by the end of the week. Once I get that final quote, I will be able to determine base prices, and will create a new thread for the run which will include details of the designs, and I will officially open the order books for 2025.
