What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

As you can see, this is built for saber grip. I see a lot of fighters that have the top guard barely forward of the bottom guard if at all, and to me that just seem uncomfortable and like it puts undue strain on the thumb, especially in a hard stab.

Now I want to do a run of Spakling Smiles even more than before, if that’s possible.

I want in!

Let's just not go there. My fault, but let's deviate.

I am switching to Danish oil from mineral oil from now on, which will require less maintenance on my natural wood handles. Thanks to Crag the Brewer Crag the Brewer for bringing it to my attention, and my research confirms all the good he said about it.

Also....

I hope you like it....

Mineral oil is what I coat the blades with for shipping. Try not to get Danish on the blades (too much) I don't worry about exposed tangs. My hands probably rub that off

Once before I understood what tung oil was, I coated some 8670 blades with it before sticking them in their sheaths to bring home, so protect them from rust. Looks at them the next day to find the oil had hardened on the blades! 🤣

Couldn't wash it off, so I ended up bringing those knives back to the shop for refinishing. Never did that again!

Okay guys, I just added your tracking numbers. You should see a PayPal notification with it.

Also, here is my Canada Post receipt from yesterday's postal run. Or at least as much of it as I could get in the photo.
