What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Lorien wasn’t kidding. I’m on my first piece of rhynowet 220 grit sandpaper to parallelize the grind on the crowned spine and I can already feel it cutting like crazy and see the results faster than the other two brands used before. I’m extremely pleased.

After getting to 150 grit on the grinder, this is all the sandpaper it took me to bring the handles and crowned spine up to 800 grit on Arcolinea with black palm.

There is one thing first though. I use these to start the parallel grind on the spines.

They are 120 grit ceramic belts that no longer clean up the 36 grit bevels adequately for bevel grinding. This is the start of their afterlife.

And then 220 grit sandpaper. Which used to be much more tedious!
