What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

I was cutting metal today. Brass and stainless steel. I had more full length pin stock left and spent the whole shift cutting and chamfering it, and organizing it. Kind of a cathartic practice before starting a big order that is going need to over a hundred pins... namely the LuckyDog....

You know, Falkor looks an awful lot like a dog, and he's a luck dragon, so it doesn't seem like a stretch to suggest that Lucky Dog Knife Co could use a Falkor named/inspired design in his line up.

Maybe the model can have a name and a nickname.... the Falkor aka Flying Lucky Dog

I always thought it ironic, that the surname of author of "Neverending Story" means "end" in German.

I'm not sure that's allowed. Isn't it a rule that nicknames have to be shorter?

After Lucky Dog tonight I stayed late for a quick and dirty R&D knife. I’ve never actually carried Osage orange before and now I get to find out what the big deal is.

I briefly knocked the scales down with 220 grit followed by soap and water wash and two applications of Howard.
