What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

I'd take some flitz on a paper towel to that ricasso area. And then give the handle a couple coats of butcher block conditioner, to be repeated periodically as needed.

That knife is called "Manliest Act: A Hot Smite!", which is a near anagram of "almost a mini smatchet".

The ‘e’, ‘m’, ‘t’ letter counts don’t match (ignoring case), so I give the anagram-ness an 85%.
Does this match your definition of “near”?
Full disclosure: the formula for anagram-ness has not been peer reviewed.
(Cue Styx’s “Too Much Time on My Hands”)

I you are allowed to critique my near anagram using the word (ahem?) anagram-ness, then I think I am allowed to craft and use a near (aka imperfect) anagram. 🥰

OK, maybe it doesn't have a hyphen.
And it's not a question of allowed, it's a purely scientific exercise of quantification.
Moreover, I refer you to Humpty Dumpty's famous quote: "When I use a word, it means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less".

How on earth is the blade still so clean? It looks like it would be so much fun to use.
okay ya asked for it. ya gettin the long story......it was an extra knife David made at some point way back and I just bought it.......the big leaf shaped blade seemed interesting to me. I had gotten a few think 2 or so from David around this time and those got put to use. so it sat in a pile of knives i have as im a collector so i have a lot of them. I recently found it and grabbed it out and have fallen in love with it.

No need to explain yourself, sir, do as you see fit with your property. My question was more rhetorical and jocular. I, too, have more knives than I can use in one sitting and am constantly rediscovering "lost" favorites.
