What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Cleaned up all the choils and made sure they terminate in radii so they don’t snag on cardboard.

Tomorrow that, and start sheaths.

So guys, the purple looking wood you see on some of those Ranch Dogs is called katalox, and this is my first time using it. I found it quite nice to work with, and according to its description it sounds like a solid contender to tie for first place in my list of favorite natural woods next to bocote. I haven't finished and used a knife with it yet, but according to my research it changes color from purple to almost black over time as it oxides.

We jokingly call our girl dog beardog....she love tearing up boxes from the recycling bin. Thick, double corrugated stuff. She chomps through like nothing. Bite after bite.
She stands on them with her front two paws, bends down and Rips. No effort, seems weird.

She is all muscle and sinue. She has a massive hump from her neck and shoulders. Must be neck muscles. Reminds me of a grizzly tearing into a carcass. Crazy strong and beefy.
