Whats in your pocket Hinderer crew?

My 260 lumen IFE1 CR123 powered light does not photgraph the same color as Robs. Mine is more accurately (in real life) the color in this photo...

What do yo like about that one besides the AA's? I'm looking for a good flashlight.
1st off - I'm not familiar w/ the Infilux lights so I 'd like some advice as well on this new model. Reviews seem mixed so far.
Re. the 2xAA format, I pack all my EDC in a shoulder bag that has some "pen sized" pockets readily accessible when unzipping a corner of the bag, including a pocket for my folder which I carry, for the most part, in a "slip-in" leather covered stiff foam rubber reading glasses sheath.(say THAT quickly 3 times- LOL)
The diameter & length of the 2x AA light makes it ideal for hand, mouth, under arm, or set down orientation & I can even put it behind my ear if wearing a cap. The output is sufficient for my needs as well.

They are NiteCore brand, Iniflux is more of a caterory /model designation as is IFE1 and IFE1 XML designations.

Same company that makes NiteCore manufactures Jetbeam lights and possibly others. They are Chinese made.

After explaining my reasons I forgot to tell you that my present light is a "4 Sevens" Quark AA-2 Tactical R5 (Cree XP-G R5 LED) > which is what the Infilux IFD2 uses, only you're getting a load more o/p with the IFD2/battery setup . I get 205 lumens with regular alkaline cells (out front-not just at the emitter) max w/the Quark which is plenty for what I need. I can also program 2 preset powers. Mine is less than 1/2 the price of the IFD2 & I'm not convinced I need a change for the moment but hey - it's fun stuff. I'd love to see more pics of EDC here .......BTW. :D
Speaking of fun stuff - My new XM18 3" is in the mail! My FIRST!!!

Jetbeam/Nitecore makes a GREAT smart battery charger which accepts a few different sizes & auto reads whats required. I heard its the best on the market if you're into recharge. I suspect that rechargeable lithium cells will take big strides soon. For my city EDC use, alkaline cells are fine.

The 260 lumen (older) IFE1 does not take rechargeable cells, the newer 500+ lumen version does but instructions reccomend CR123s. It's nice that rechargeable cells fit the new light, the older one eats 'em in a hurry.

That's a beauty shoulder bag. I like the top handle for hand carry on a bag. Looks liks a great layout. Would you care to share the make & model? Thanks.

Thank you W&S, Lots of trial and error (and return s/h costs) but I wasn't stopping until I got it correct.
The detachable/adjustable shoulder strap and "Grab" Handle(s) were at the top of my "Must have" list as well as Bomb Proof construction, water resistant, compartmentalized, etc.. ALL three sides have handles the top one being rubberized for comfort and grip.
The inside is amazing! Some carry 10" laptops. I have my EDC organizer, First Aid, CC firearm, pens, food, and much much more and it is not close to being maxed out.
I will send you the name and model in a PM or email.
I can finally say that while the company makes Outstanding Products (some on the Hinderer Tactical Website I might add) I finally kept and packed this one as my EDC.

Outstanding! It looks ideal for booting it around the big city also. That padded grab handle is a must for crowded subway travel. I have one somewhat similar but it's larger with more of a briefcase style/appropriate carry that is sometimes an inconvenience. Thanks for your offer.
