What's In Your Pockets? (And On Your Belt)

I know. I looked everywhere! Searched my car like a mad man! It fell out once before in my car. I think I will have a ceremony and drink some ice cold coronas for my loss.

Sounds like a good idea ;)

I for some reason found the need to hang both of these on my belt today, working in the yard.....
You never know when you have to go "Tactical" on a tumbleweed.....hahaha

That's awesome! I was talking to Armand today and showed him a picture of the Marksman

Everything about that photo is nice ;)

If I was Armand, I would edc that Subhilt Bowie he has.....bwahahahahaha
Armand is great to talk too! I have learned a bunch every time. I should give him a call soon.

Lol yeah we talk at least once a week! Just a great guy! I wanted to ask you, whats the secret on shaving with your knives? Every time I try I only scrap the dead skin off and no hair lol

I just make sure they are at least factory sharp.
I use a 1000 grit ceramic stone for final sharpening, or touching up.
But I think the real secret is a couple days or more of beard growth, and then a steeper angle for holding the blade than you might think
Like a 45-60° angle, and I use my free hand to stretch the skin out a bit too....

That CSAR-T fixed blade just pops the hairs right off....probably the best shaver I have....lol

Ok I will give it a try again, I will post a pic in the forum if I am successful

Sweet!
I also dry shave... I have since I was a youth..... shaving cream irritates the heck out of my skin.

Oh.... whatever you do, don't use a slicing motion!!

Lol noooooo never slice!!! I tried with my marksman, it's new factory edge and no luck, I think I might have to grow a pair and push a little harder lol

I did use my marksman to shave a couple weeks ago :)
Yeah, might have to use more pressure.....
I keep doing the shaving thing with various Bucks for 2 reasons....
1. Because I have seen people complain of sharpness.
2. Because I can.....hahahaha

Chris I got thats a Marksman, but what the other one in the photo a "cross cut saw?".....LOL Chris You got to find this on you tube. Good yard work music....Crosscut Saw - Eric Clapton, or Albert King "Crosscut Saw"

Orinally recorded 'Cross Cut Saw Blues' TOMMY McCLENNAN (1941) Delta Blues Guitar Legend.

"Crosscut Saw", or "Cross Cut Saw Blues" as it was first called, is a bawdy blues song "that must have belonged to the general repertoire of the Delta blues".[1] The song was first released in 1941 by Mississippi bluesman Tommy McClennan and has since been interpreted by many blues artists. "Crosscut Saw" became an early R&B chart hit for Albert King,[2] "who made it one of the necessary pieces of modern blues".[1

Hahaha!
It is my 690 CSAR-T fixed blade :) basically a sharpened pry bar.
Thickest blade I have, and also came with the sharpest factory edge of any blade I have.

Did you get the 2 emails I sent you?

Going to 2 BBQ's today :)
Edc knives today are
1. 830 Marksman
2. 424 Bucklite
3. 271 Alpha Dorado

I've started carrying an ol Buck 450. The serrated blade comes in real handy at times. Not sure what steel they used on it but sure keeps an edge for a long time

Chris, I only usually check my mail when I'm looking for shipments of knives coming in right before I go to bed for the night. I'll keep and eye out for your e-mail.

Chris I Just picked up a 121 1973 BUCK 121 INVERTED 3 LINE & Buck 105 USA Fixed 3 liner, In my QUEST to find the model I had back in the late 70's but it was an earlier knife.
