Now before any one gets crazy I am just seeking an estimated fair value.
I have not decided to sell so this is not a for sale thread. I have a steelheart
1, bought in vegas in '92 and has seen very little use its not mint but still
nice. I also have the origanal nylon sheath busse patch and dog tag. Please
help me determine a descent fair price so I can decide if I should sell or not.

P.S. I do love this knife but times are hard.

Thanks in advance, Wyatt

My guess would be $800-$1100
a picture would be nice

They're right -- we do need a picture to give you better advice.

Front, back, and spine at the very least. It would be good to have a shot showing off the edge and one showing off the handle and butt.

Absent that, Uncle Jarvis has given you about as much as any of us can.

Good Luck!

Oh -- and even the patch has real value. You don't see many of those lying around.

$1100 is a bit high, even with the additional stuff, at least for a lightly used one in my book. Pics are definitely welcome and your email will be full before you know it even though you cautioned the Hogs to be patient. :D If you had a Holy Terror to go with it, you could easily ask $1100-1400.

I unfortunatly passed on the holy terror at the show due to lack of funds.
Hindsight is a mutha ain't it.

1992? then it must be ATS34. As a collector it would be worth about $1000.

Well like i said its not perfect but it is nice defenatly not beat on. there is some slight
discolorization on one side. Is that normal? Its just slight but noticable. I'll post pics
tommoro and then get opinions.

Speaking of ebay and old Busse s..
A couple days ago I saw a used SHBA sell for $375 Buy Now
I stumbled on the page about 15min after posted, was about to snatch it up but for some reason did not.. oh well

I would think that the Dog Tag and the patch would add to the over all value.

1992, do you just happen to have the original bill of sale?

No bill of sale. Way to long ago. I bought it at the sof convention. Had a great
time with my best friend there, so I really have alot of sentimental attachment
to it.

Do you think an under the table deal with one of the many people shooting him an email is his best bet?
an Ebay auction would be a true measure of the value of the item....

Do you NOT think that someone HERE would give him more than he is looking to get?! Aside from going to the hands of Formite rather than into the BIG BLUE YONDER.....sometimes it is just nice to have items stay in the community. But then again, some folks are only in it for a profit.
