What's My Next Spyderco? Contest/Giveaway!

I'm stumped.

I've been collecting, buying/selling Spydercos for a long while and as of today have none on order for the first time in over a year. I also posted some time back that I'd do a GAW so here it is!

What's my next Spyderco going to be? I'll leave it up to you all, Spydernation members. I really don't want to leave anyone out but I am looking for a new Spyderco so I figure I should put it in the hands of the experts. ;)

So if you're a Spydernation member you are eligible for this GAW. If not, get over to the sign up thread, meet the requirements and join. I don't believe there should be a problem with this but if there is I'm all ears and will amend if necessary.

I'll run this for a month (9/25) just to give everyone ample time to enter if they're not a member yet. At the end I'll do a random drawing using numbers from 0-9999 and pick the members number closest. That should cover all member numbers from this thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...en-sign-up-thread-quot?highlight=spydernation

Because the drawing is based on membership numbers you can post in here as much as you'd like. If you post and you're a member you're entered. Simple. And I suppose anyone can post in the thread but if you're not a member you can't win...

It's BNIB. Never carried, cut, or anything.

And WTH, the first member that helps me choose the new Spyderco that I purchase gets a choice of one of these:

These all used to be pink and I dyed them as shown. Your pick. Never carried.

I think I've covered all the bases??? If not throw me some constructive advice and I'll change anything that may be confusing.

I just got the Native 5 today after being on pre order for 10 months or so. It's in the picture above in fact. I replaced the shiny clip with black so that may have thrown you.
I've got a couple of Kiwi's already and have been looking forward to the G-10 model release but some reviewers have stated that it's a bit on the small size still. Since I am sort of a collector still I might consider it though. Thanks.

spyderco lum tanto
I considered the Lum Tanto only because I have around a dozen of the Chinese models but the only reason I'd grab a tanto is for its collectability. I'm still on the fence with this one though.

I'm going to suggest a spyderco cat. I don't even own one but it's one of those models that just never caught my eye at all. For some reason though I've been looking at it lately and it looks like a cool little knife. I've heard the ergos and build are both great too. And I'd like some more people to buy it so I can live vicariously through you without actually spending more money. :)

What? No Salt recommendation! I'm in shock. ;)
Thanks for the idea though, I gave the Cat a look a while back but never followed through.

Well I know this suggestion won't be popular and the reason why has been covered extensively but the BBS Blue Domino is fantastic. Honestly it is the best made Spyderco I own. I can't recommend it enough. And since they aren't flying off the shelf, it's kind of a rare piece for anyone's collection.

I saw your native 5 in the pic. But i think the lightweight version comming out is going to be a great knife. I also have a native 5 and is one of my favorites but having a lighter version will make it that much better. I think the g10 kiwi is perfect in hand in my opinion, i do have somewhat smaller hands but out of all the knives i own the new kiwi by far has the best ergos in my opinion. Good luck finding the right knife.

Wait a minute, you mean I actually managed to come up with the one spyderco you didn't already own??!

Sweet giveaway!

I don't own a Spyderco. I don't plan on getting one, and spamming this subforum with 50 banal posts, just to win this knife.

Some day, I'll get one, maybe.

If I do, I'll join the group.

Till then, thanks for giving back. Some one will get a great looking knife!

Ah, lightweight. I was so excited to get the carbon Native 5 today my perception was clouded.
And I've got hands like a orangutan. That might take a few choices off the table.

I'm not a SpyderNation member, though I believe I meet the requirements, but i think the next Spyderco I'd get would be the dog tag

I use mine daily it is such a great knife, customary pics to help with the aesthetics of the thread.

Maybe if I could find a user I'd pick one up. The prices on NIB are a bit prohibitive for me to carry, and believe me, I don't need any more collectibles. :(

Stretch Damascus and Nishijin ,That's what I been looking at.I like the blue but comes in black also!
Thanks for requiring spydernation membership to enter.I am very excited and should have joined earlier!
great giveaway, thanks!

I've got a few Stretch models and like the Nishijin Damascus. Actually talked a few folks into picking them up but I had my Damascus in the Endura.
Now if they would produce a Lum Chinese Damascus I'd be tempted again.
Thanks for the suggestion. :)
