Did prior runs of the ratweiler have a differential heat treat? If so, is the differential heat treat part and parcel to the model or will this one be a regular heat treat?
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is available! Price is $250 ea (shipped within CONUS).

Hey guys, for those of you who own/have used other Ratweilers, what's the feel & balance like--say, in comparison to a TGLB or Hellrazor?

How do I get on the mailing list?
Yeah, I figured they would have made mention of it.I'm pretty sure sure all Busse and Kin knives are through hardened these days.

Noted, thanks RobINFI has never, as far as I know, been differentially treated.

Doesn't look like it has been used for quite a while now. Would there be any noticeable differences between differential and through hardened that you may notice in use? For instance would the blade be more flexible?
They are much more beefy than the TGLBs and HRs. And perform much better as choppers.
So who has the sr101 version and who likes it? Anyone not really care for the original Ratweiler? I am on the fence w this one mostly bc of the $70 handle upgrades and bc I've never had one before. I am really digging that fuller though! And the bruiser slabs of course!![]()
