I've probably got too many knives....several lifetimes of carry:D

But, I do like to keep an eye on them and to use as many as possible. Certainly, some have proved to be a bit of a disappointment, but I believe they can be swapped and somebody else will appreciate them more.Nothing is wasted in collecting knives:thumbup:

So, what's on your Traditional radar at the moment? What are you waiting for or which knives are you brooding about?

Myself, I was SO pleased with a Queen Cutlery Muskrat in Amber Bone:no gaps, really excellent bone and snap (D2 not very keen though but, that seems to be always the case)and above all, single spring and ultra slim:thumbup: I'm after their Serpentine Jack in Amber but it seems tricky to locate. What are you after?

Regards,
W

I have a couple of single blade trappers on order. It seems that as time goes by I'm gravitating more towards single blade slipjoints.

I'm waiting on the release of a bare head trapper in genuine stag from GEC. The have begun releasing the #23s, so I am hoping that it is a matter of time.

Queen D2 Canoe with Birdseye maple should be here this week. My first Queen, first D2, first Canoe, and first Birdseye.

I'm quite interested in the super-top-secret #89 pattern being worked on at GEC right now. It's a delicious mystery. It's going to be 4" long and fairly skinny, with endcap bolsters and three blades, one of which will be a coping blade. It is supposed to be a pattern that has not been produced since 1900-1920 or so. That much is known.

I want it to be a Lobster! Bring on the lobster!

I'm also looking forward to Case's "American Workman" series in blue delrin. That will be great.

- The recent GEC thread got me all antsy for a toothpick so I ordered a stag version and should have it in a couple of days.
- Got a scheme in the works for an ebony Case/Bose Norfolk that may not be too much longer before it shows up.
- Got my name on the list for the 2009 BFC Barlow whenever that one gets made.
- Ordered a little hunter from Geno Denning and a small trapper from Rusty Preston back in '08 and both guys gave me a two year wait time on those.

I'm in the que for an ebony Norfolk Case/Bose Collaboration sometime soon I hope.
Also awaiting the BF forum knife.
My trigger finger is getting itchy so you never know what night be next!

Appreciate the help.

Also wildly interested in this 89 pattern from GEC, could it be a Cattle Knife?Or something called an Anglo-Saxon??

CASE/Bose Norfolk continues to interest, but not much has been said or shown about it here,odd....On the same theme, the CASE/Bose Dog-leg has always interested me.

Got an 'Old German' knife on its way from the bay, can't recall its name and it could be a rip-off but didn't cost much:D

I'm still deciding whether or not to get a Western-branded military "demo knife". Other than that, I had a Northfield Barlow on the way, but I fear that it's been lost, having waited over 3 weeks now for it.:(

Next Up (for the rest of the year + two months): In no particular order
Buck 110
GEC Whittler
Kabar
Paper Wheels
GEC # 23

(Got a sodbuster and a a Queen D2 Canoe in the mail now lol!)

After that, Ill be done gettin knives for a while. Probably save up for a Busse FFBM or Similar Busse Chopper.

Good luck, but I doubt it:D "The best laid schemes of mice&men"

Waiting for the Canal Street 3 7/8" Swell Center Jack to be released.
Plus I have a custom on order from Brent Kramer (a design he hasn't done yet, so kind of a prototype).
Yay.

I can't wait for the Forum knife to come out. That's what I'm anxious about--It shouldn't be too long.

Waitin' for mine too, but that's paid for, I'd really like a Ken Coats Knife and it's one of the things the nickels and dimes I find under the cushions are goin' for.:)

I know some people aren't too fond of Canal Street; I've only got one (the fiddleback whittler), but I love it and definitely will order more.
