Here's a thought for the drawing board...
I was just reading an old post about the early Ron Hood Prototype battle mistress hand ground by the man himself, and it got me thinking. That was 1997, 2027 is less than a year away.... maybe its time for a 30th anniversary straight handled battle mistress? I don't know about you, but my 20th ashbms are just about my favorite big knives. I'd love to get my hands on a new version.
Here's my thoughts. The ashbms are .31, believe the production shbm were .25-.26, and those early photos were .29 I believe. So a 30th anniversary should bring back the .29 infi. I think a 10.5 inch blade with the 5.5 straight handle would make a perfect 16 inch woods knife. Modern magnum handles with a retro texture and gold/bronze/brass tubes. Its an anniversary special, so full meltdown like the ashbm. The logo should be an oval with Busse Combat curving the top, 1997-2027 in the middle, and battle mistress curving the bottom.
