What's On The Drawing Board? . . . What Else Should Be?

How about something out of the norm and make a small “pocket” carry blade. 3” or less. Big belly. Maybe Bowie style. Something easy to daily carry around for general tasks but good for any use in a clinch. Maybe a 1/4 of the top sharpened. Small thumb ram with texture.

Just spitballing since I’ve been on the hunt for a small fix blade to carry daily.

I was thinking about something similar. Just want a bottle opener and a small pry end and a blade that can slice a lime or a steak. Light enough to clip to my board shorts also.
I need a summer vacation knife!

Big fan of Busse blades and while I like a lot of the current offerings, I rarely see this classic. What ever happened to the ASH1? That model along with the ASH2 are among my favorite models, yet I haven’t seen one offered in years. This model in INFI, 3v, Abel or Magnacut would be sweet.

I keep thinking I want more knives and I have to remind myself that I already have some that aren't in my hands yet. If I keep ordering knives I'll still not have anything in my hands. Lol anything other than the 50 lbs of INFI I already have.
I do that frequently!
Watches too.
Quite a bit on its way .... I forget sometimes.... 🤔😫👍🇦🇺

I feel this would be a very popular blade if brought into full production- with all the trimmins- Satin Finish, the color coated finishes, stonewash finish, all the different color Micarta & G10 finishes -
The Liberty Heart 😎
However, realizing it was one of the least available Military Over-run's ever - maybe - hopefully! It could be made with a hollow bevel 😎
Let Freedom Ring!! 🇺🇸

Agreed!
Id definitely be in for 1!

Medium Butaniku!… oh, never mind… 44.5” would be longer than a long butaniku… and it’s long.

Rhomphaia or Dadao then🤷

We need a GIANT Sword with an overall length of under 44 1/2 inches long!!!

Any ideas?

Go!

Jerry

.

The length is basically hand a half bastard sword. Backsword or broadswords are some of the best war swords historically.

However, what makes good swords are distal taper. Which I feel like would make production of these in infi almost prohibitively expensive.

On the other hand falchion might be basically doubling down on the big chopper Busse blades excel at.

In particular The Maciejowski falchion, based from the The Maciejowski Bible art depiction

However, even more on point is the Kriegsmesser. Which share distinction from falchion in an important way that aligned with Busse knives. In particular handle construction. Main difference between falchion and Kriegsmesser is that falchion has hidden tang, and Kriegsmesser usually had slabs like The Busse blades

If this thing is a full size, no holds barred, distal taper masterpiece, properly balanced and proportioned heirloom quality weapon of war, I am in!

I like David's suggestion of a bigger Viking Serpent- big enough for a 2 handed grip
