What's On The Drawing Board? . . . What Else Should Be?

I’d LOVE, like giddy…..to see the return of the Behemoth!

A dedicated chopping machine. A Limb lopper. But still manageable one handed control.

AND

A collaboration with Nathan Carothers!!! ( I’d leave it to you 2 maniacal-metal geniuses to figure out what y’all can produce).

Personally, I would love to see a step away from the .21" stock stuff and more .25"-.28" offerings. I woulda' LOVED to have seen the Tac Saw 7, Beating Heart, and NF Camp Mistress in the slightly thicker stock. My financial situation has changed quite a bit, and I've had to be a little more discriminating with my ca$h. I realize that has nothing to do with Busse Combat. However, it has pushed some of my cash toward other Manufacturers in the last couple of years. I bought a Tac Saw 7 because I just couldn't pass it up. However, I passed on the Beating Heart and NF Camp Mistress because they were just much of the same. (.21" stock) For my uses, all of those knives were very inspired (*and appealing) designs, and I would have loved to have seen them offered in some thicker stock.

Speaking of "inspired designs"...and please don't take this as a slight...over the last few years, many of the designs have looked very similar, with just a tweek here or there. The AFBM and SJ Tac7 immediately come to mind. For my eyes, both seemed to have spawned two-to-three offshoots. The Smatchet was the first offering, in a bit, that really got my blood racing.

And that brings me to my third thought. Can we please get some regular "do-overs" on some designs? I woulda' loved to have bought two or three smatchets, but just can't do that in one drop. I know that many here can. I, unfortunately, can't. Although I know that it'll probably NEVER happen, I would also LOVE to see another two or three well-separated drops of the classic TGLB.

Just my $0.02...which, when combined with $3.00, will get you a sh!tty cup of coffee at the local convenience store. Thanks for encouraging us to contribute to the "think tank".

Man, a few skeleton key-esque. skeleton designs. Knives that can slide into tight spaces yet still be functional tools. Throw in your center console or pocket, or on a OTV, somewhat inconspicuous, but handy.

The “Low Key” or “Lo-ki” …..to go with the Viking themed warship or Seax style Busse love.

A return of the SAR series in some manner. Especially the handles. I absolutely love the SAR handles, and the aesthetics of the unique jimping holes, and the many/mostly satin blades.

So many models have come and gone and come again in new flavors and variants over the last 15 years (forsaken series, HOG models, different steel, thinner stock, different handle or blade shape, and so on). But never the SARs as far as I know.

I have never handled a SARGE-7 but I am thinking that is the right direction. While I love my SAR 6, if I'm being honest, I've always though it was a little too thick due to the convex blade for what the blade height is. Time to revise and perfect the SARs!

From the catalog: Short Pork Sword & Battle Pappy both with wall to wall stonewash, please, thank you

From the drawing board: a trio < or singles > of throwing knives in AEB-L or anything Jerry thinks would be more, or as, tough and economical.
No handles, just with mounting holes and tie off points for our own paracord or homemade handles. Also stonewashed.

A chefs knife would get a ton of use in my home.

Seems like many are designed for small hands.

Start with an 8” chefs knife and make the blade taller to keep the knuckles off the cutting board. Don’t do anything weird just a chefs knife for a man’s hand.

Love the SAR suggestion too, I have a soft spot for the SAR knives.

Have to agree with jeepin jeepin , bring back the option for non magnum handles please!

Would love to see more basics and scrap yard infi. The AR series needs an AR15 model 😁. More basic HOG's. A 10" with the same choil or no choil option would be amazing! A infi version of the trash2! Also agree with more color options on resC. The grey, orange, brown, green and even a blue variant would make me buy more than one of each run.

More micarta options again. When I go for the nuclear option lately I'm hoping for a micarta variant.

The theme for me and what I read from others is options. Give us more stock options and it gives us a reason to snag more. Bringing back some classics in new variants like HOG's would be amazing. New variants with nano handles is also great!

Last idea is bring back models that have only been cbt with no cbt. Thinking HR2, trough raider....heck any new trough raider 😁

We all have lots of ideas because we love your knives. Thanks for letting us add a tiny bit for you guys to think about for the future! 🍻

I would like to see a Busse Viking Warship based on the size and handle shape of the Hognose War Sword.
OAL: 22.875"
Blade Length: 16"
Blade Width: Approx. 1.85" - 2.5"
