Anyone expecting any new sharp items or even any other outdoorsy stuff ?

i get my bow for christmas. i ordered it and everthing, but i dont get to play with it till christmas. it is a bear kodiak hunter, #40 draw.

also getting a fancy outdoor watch. its a wenger, and it has a compass that flips out the side.

Delta SA180 1x42 belt sander. Oh yeah, baby! Sharp knives for everyone in a ten mile radius!!

That and some new Smartwool socks and I'm a very happy man!

Santa isn't bringing me much this year. Apparently my fourth quarter performance isn't up to snuf so I've been bumped from the "good list".

My wife has a hard time shopping for me so I get to shop for myself. :) Hooray!

This years shoppong will be done at CountyComm.

200' paracord
two Super Sporks
two more Space Blankets
Gen 5 Bail Out Bag

Yep. The Mrs. and I are keeping the spending on ourselves to a minimum this year.

i don't think i have much coming my way this year...:o we're a bit on the broke side...:thumbdn: so the misses an I will also keep shopping for ourselves down to a minimum....

What I want is for all my family and friends (and that, of course, includes all my BladeForums brothers & sisters) to be happy and healthy and fully employed (hear that attej?)

Other than that I have just about everything I need and most of what I want. Still......................

Doc

Possibly one of those titanium teat kettle setups, just to have a handy-size boiler. (Not sure if the wife is getting that one).

I may order myself a poncho liner and a blade, but that's about it.

I'm really excited about a few of the gifts I'm giving this year, found some neat stuff for folks. We're also doing a lot of '$10 or less' with the family members, which makes it both easier and more pleasurable.

A Osprey Stratos 40, Ruger 10/22 (My first fire arm!:thumbup: ), and a Kellam knife.

Its going to be a good X-Mas! :D:thumbup:

Cheers to that, Doc! Lots of friends and family have had a rough spell, and I know lots of 'digital friends' around here have too. My very best wishes that all roads become smooth and straight for these fine folks.

Normally i never get sharp goodies for Christmas.
However this year (thanks to an early order to Warriors and Wonders) i've got a Byrd Wings and a Cold Steel Black Rock Hunter waiting for me under the tree.

Also got a raincheck for one of those Chiminea backyard stoves back in august from Canadian Tire.
Well i finally found a nearby store with them in stock so now i have one.
Only $50 Canadian! Now (when the snow goes) i will be able to have (legal) backyard fires.
Hmmm could you use one of those as a primitive forge?
;)

K&M match safe, new Rush DVD. that is all I want.
Cool!
I usually buy all the Rush releases but i've been slack the past few years, i'm missing all the DVD's after Rush in Rio.
I am up to date with all the studio stuff though.

Money is a bit tight for me and the wife, so all I'm getting is a shemagh from TADgear and one of those LMF sporks. But, that's all I really wanted, anyways. I used most of the spare cash to buy her a nice gift and some for the rest of my family.

nothing.

bosses company is 6 months behind in rent and owes about $50,000 to various other businesses. I'm still waiting for the third week for my $1800 bucks in back pay.

hopefully it snows and i'll get my handmade Ojibway snoshoes at some point.

besides, Joezilla sent me a very cool Idaho Knife works fixed blade already. :)

Broke here too, May have to make myself something..maybe finish that Osage walking stick I have sitting in the corner ! Everyone else is getting something handmade too.

It makes me sad to hear everyone is having to hold back this year. hope you guys get stuff takin care of, and things loosin up.

My wife is finally finished with school, and my income doubled overnight after 4 years of bein the sole earner. I am so happy for this happening close to the holidays. We have had crappy christmas' for the past 4 years, partly b/c I have worked 24 hrs on christmas for the past 4, and still have to this year. Ive never seen my son on christmas morning.

Next year I should be off.

Anyways, I wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday season. Dont forget about us guys and gals doin the public service thing on the holiday. Thank a vet, medic, cop, or Fire Fighter.

Those of you whose loved ones are gonna be out of country. Keep your chin up, and I hope you get to hear your loved ones voices. If you are that loved one, be safe, watch your 6, and thank you for your devotion to carryin the torch of liberty.
