What's Santa bringing y'all ?

Possibly one of those titanium teat kettle setups, just to have a handy-size boiler. (Not sure if the wife is getting that one).

I may order myself a poncho liner and a blade, but that's about it.

I'm really excited about a few of the gifts I'm giving this year, found some neat stuff for folks. We're also doing a lot of '$10 or less' with the family members, which makes it both easier and more pleasurable.

Dude I love those kinda things.....Fun to find the neat stuff us WSS guys can locate for 10.00!!

Yeah, just got to stay away from condoms. As multi use as they are.....First impressions are everything!

I think my better half is getting me a K&M matchcase. I will be thrilled with that. I am really hoping to replace my Busse BATAC and order a Stomper Kephart with black scales right after the Holidays.

It makes me sad to hear everyone is having to hold back this year. hope you guys get stuff takin care of, and things loosin up.

My wife is finally finished with school, and my income doubled overnight after 4 years of bein the sole earner. I am so happy for this happening close to the holidays. We have had crappy christmas' for the past 4 years, partly b/c I have worked 24 hrs on christmas for the past 4, and still have to this year. Ive never seen my son on christmas morning.

Next year I should be off.

Anyways, I wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday season. Dont forget about us guys and gals doin the public service thing on the holiday. Thank a vet, medic, cop, or Fire Fighter.

Those of you whose loved ones are gonna be out of country. Keep your chin up, and I hope you get to hear your loved ones voices. If you are that loved one, be safe, watch your 6, and thank you for your devotion to carryin the torch of liberty.

honestly, i hate christmas,(the consumer christmas, not Christmas)......every year i see my friends go further and further into debt because they think they need to spend $1000's of dollars of xmas gifts for their friends. Then when someone does something nice like make a really nice dinner and have friends over, they feel cheated. I'd rather share a beer or ten with my friends and go for a hike and make hot chocolate.

:)

I feel you on this man, but I might do it in a slightly different order. After about ten beers hikes tend to become a lot more dangerous for me

Me too Bro. Me too. I would give every present under the tree to see my family on christmas.

Wife and I generally don't exchange gifts on Christmas, we've always felt it was more for the kids.
some years we buy something for the house or family, but if we do that it is usually on the after christmas sales.

Handmade stuff is great, I can't think of a finer gift then one that was given with the best of intentions in mind.
I am not Ukrainian, but my wifes mother was, and when she was alive I knew I would get two things for Christmas; homemade shortbread (not Ukrainian I know) and a Ukrainian egg that she made.

When they say it's the thought that counts, I really agree a nice evening spent at a friends house can't be beat.

Times are tight this year and we going light on the gifts. With a baby due in Feb we spending most of our spare cash getting ready for him. Wife not going back to work after baby born, so times will be tighter than usual. She did give the go ahead on spending a few $$ on a used fox river i might have just snagged in the exchange so i'll consider that merry christmas to me if that works out.

:D

my girl friend...mrs. clause....ha ha bought me some asolo hiking boots..mine were in rough shape..

Not much, trying to keep afloat this year. We bought some stuff for the grandkids instead of ourselves. The son in laws will get, guess what, knives!

Not much here. I have almost everything I want or need. I am cutting down on the commercialism of Xmas for my sons too. They know this and mentioned to me that they don't want any more $60 video games (of course I was thrilled to hear this). Instead I am finishing out their survival kits, we will go to the movies, and I will cook pork tenderloin or something they really love for dinner.

Lots of good stuff..
Axes(6), a wool Hat, and wool socks...carhart overalls..thats about it for now.
I am SANTA ofcourse..and I traded for all this stuff...I dont have a pot to piss in, otherwise.
The kids will get all the presents this year. buying other adults presents for Xmas is just silly.

I was expecting 2 Muskart Man (1 puko 1 bc) knives , but Kaleb got in some accident around the shop. So I have to wait 6-8 extra week.

My wants are many, my needs are few. I dropped Mrs. Clause a few hints like either a MEC Scout Tarp or GB Small Forest Axe but if neither arrive that's fine. I've got to add a new bedroom onto the house next spring since Mrs. Clause is now in the family way again. Money is a bit tight, but I have a good job and most of the skills to do all the building myself so we'll be allright. Hope everyone has a good one and that this economy turns around soon.
