What's so great about a "Stryder"?

Oh no! Don't say it three times or they'll all come out of the wood err plastic work and we'll be here allnight!

1,216 posts and you dont know anything about strider knives? hmmm ... I dont buy it :thumbdn:

Ask me about automatic Rainy Vallotons, Protechs or Microtechs or Benchmades. There are tons of knives I have not followed up on just because someone mentioned them. To be honest some of the Buck knives just don't seem that great and I didn't know they were hooked in with Strider. If I'm paying that much for a knife I want something that isn't wrapped with a shoelace for a handle, hee hee!

striders are very stout heavy duty knives imho, most are on the verge of being too big/thick for edc carry, the only con imho,

lots of there fixed blades have micarta/G10/etc handles, not all are cord wrapped, nothing wrong with cord wrap though.

i like them myself. some folks have a problem with the owner, but i have never heard anyone say they arent good knives FWIW.

Ohh so you do know a little bit about Striders.. I knew you were trolling - but what really is offensive is your thinking that everyone around here is stupid and isn't going to see through your B/S. Why bother???? if ya dont like em' - dont buy em!

Beat me to it. :) I saw my first Strider "discussion" two days after I found this place.

I learned from the posts that folks were kind enough to take the time to write. That's how many of us learn at bladeforums. It is a shame you can't see the confusion I would have with knives of similar names like Strider, Stryder, and Stryker. I don't work in a knife store so it is something I was curious about. Your language on the post shows a lack of maturity and understanding so I am not offended by your comments.

Guess I missed that review. So there yah go, manix kicks both Strider and sebenza butt. At like 1/3 the cost.

Sounds like the deal with "Stryder" is to buy a manix. :p
