What's so great about Spydercos?

The amount of R+D Sal puts into his knives is what sold me. It seems that Spyderco is always trying to perfect the form and function of their knives. Sal will gladly discuss all aspects of his knives on these forums, good and bad. He is always trying to improve IMO. It's easy to trust a guy and a company like that.
 
I would have traded the damn thing in long ago for a spyderco if I could have.

Lesson learned. Go with what you know to be sharp and solid.
