Catching up again . . . in no particular order . . .
A spatch cocked roasted chicken. Never roasted a chicken this way before but think I'll also roast them this way from now on:
A steamed 3# stripped bass that too big to steam in a wok & steamed in a cheap French-style fish poacher instead.
I've done' this before I it always comes out great! Only finished 1/2 of the fish & made some jook to use to reheat/eat the rest.
A pastrami sandwich with a pint of Blind Pig IPA:
A BLT Sandwich with a pint of IPA (the name of which I've already forgotten):
The sandwich was better than it looks.
Xiao Long Bao at a new Northern Chinese dumpling/noodle shop in my town:
The XLB were ok but there's a place in town that specializes in them that does better.
A large bowl of Spicy Beef Noodle Soup with hand pulled noodles, at the same place which specializes in the noodles, which were great!
The bowl was very spicy but not so spicy as to numb the tongue or cause your forehead to sweat but it's not for "beginners" either.
