Hoping there's some Beckerhead's that have used all 5 of these and could say which they like for the absolute best all around knife. The one that can do it ALL!? Best at all tasks for outdoors use and best to carry and easiest to use? Would really like to here from those that have used all 5 and which they prefer and why?

Personally, I think the 5 is the best of all worlds of these choices. Followed closely by the 9, then probably the 10.

I've never used the BK5, but own the rest. My choice is between the BK7 or the BK10. I really love using the BK7. The BK2 is a close third. If I lost them all and only could buy one it would be the BK7.

Bk10 will do anything you want it to. I don't have the others (yet). Can't go wrong with any of them, but I'd choose the Crewman.

I'm in the Beckerhead minority, but I held a 9 and a 7 in store, and the 9 was just too huge. Got the 7 and haven't looked back. It's been great for slicing, shredding, pruning, chopping and batoning.
I recently acquired the 5, though, and don't see how you'd go wrong with either.
I'd get a 10 but between the 7 and my RMD I really have no use for it so am saving my pennies.
Though I love a good drop-point, in my most humble opinion, 1/4" is just to thick for an all-rounder. So no 2 for me.

Honestly, as absolute best all-rounder for easy carry and use with suitability for just about any task a knife should be asked to do I'd put my saber BK16 above any of the full-sizers.

For all around and if i could have only one knife the 5 as well...love that thing,it s large but light, can chop,slice,cut.....

Man thats a tough one but the 9 is the absolute all rounder for me.

And if you can squeeze an 11 or 14 in there well then you are just set for anything.

7 is the jack of all trades. That's why it's called the Combat Utility.

Could somebody take some photos of the Bk9 and bk2 on their side together and show a pic from up above showing how thick they are compared to each other. Have the 2 and been looking at vs vids on youtube but cant find any really together to show size comparisons. Seen 7 and 2 togehter but if somebody could show pics of the 9 and 2 together i'd really appericate it. I can make size referance by putting my 2 to the screen and seeing how they compare.

There's lots of votes for the 5 which I'm liking cause right now is what i'm thinking of buying next. The 2 i got has a reground convex edge and can slice and cut fairly well despite how thick it is.Not getting rid of it ever. Made for chopping and since it's good cutter too kinda thinking 5 for a perfect big slicer. Does anybody chop big tree's and baton with there 5? Does it feel just as solid as the 9 or 7?

The 10 looks great too but since got the 2 probably not gonna get for awhile. I'm sure I'll own all these down the line in life but right now can only afford to have 3 Becker's. Got the 24 as the small EDCer, Got the 2 haven't had it long but got it at such a good price and liking it so much ain't getting rid of it so keeping it as the medium, so really trying to decide between the 5,9,7 as the large.

I know some people here are going to think Im crazy, but I just never fell in love with the 5. It feels too light in the hand to chop with, there isnt much weight in the swing. On top of that I found that I actually preferred the 9 in kitchen work.

It does not "Feel" as solid as a 9 or a 7, BUT I beat a stamped 5 like it was a red headed stepchild. Batoned, Chopped, hit hard wood, soft wood, nasty furniture grade pulp wood thats infused with glue to make it solid. I saw it flex and snap right back to true, and it held its edge as well as my 9 did. Its lighter and faster in hand, and has a choil which lets you choke up for fine work. Its longer than a 7 but shorter than a 9, and lighter than both. It generates enough speed in the snap cut to hit like it weighs more, and its an amazing carving, flesh cutting knife. The tip is upswept, but not so much that you cant stab with it. It really is a fantastic all rounder. Perfect for fighting, bushcraft, cooking, thin enough for brush clearing, tough enough to abuse. The new ones are only going to be stronger too, because they arent stamped.

Get one and take it out and put it through its paces.
You will find yourself agreeing with me, but if by some strange circumstance, you are struck in the head with a meteor and brain damaged after buying it....lol You can always sell it and get something else, or gift it off.

The BK5 isn't going to be the "best" at all thise tasks you described...
BUT....if I had to own just one knife from your list, it would be the BK5. Hands down.
It slices like a laser beam!
It's not going to out-chop or out-baton the Niner.
It's not going to out-pry the BK2. It's thinner and longer.
The 7 and 10 are good "all arounders", but for me the 5 wins out.
I just prefer to use it over those two. The 7 doesn't do much for me, and the 10 is too similar to the 2.
I love the BK5!
