Price is not an issue looking for a light weight folder "no assisted opening" and under 3 ounces, very durable and not the 530 hate it...

Where can I buy the mini griptilian with custom scales already been to knifecenter.com bladehq and knife works and a few other places online

Mini-Griptilians w/ custom scales occasionally pop up on the exchange. Otherwise, you'll have to get the scales separately. Kevin Wilkins and Cuscadi are two frequently mentioned ones. There are other members on the forums here that make custom scales as well.

Thx for the info flarp are you a spydie or benchmade fan and can anyone tell me if the triage rescue knife is a good knife handled it at sportsmans wearhouse and felt good in the hand and liked the blaze orange g10 but 940 also very nice

Both make knives I really like and some I don't care for. Never handled the Triage Rescue Knife. Unless you have a regular need for a cord cutter and glass breaker, though, that may be adding unnecessary bulk and weight (and a pointy carbide tip to poke yourself with) to your EDC knife. The Griptilian also has a number of color options for the handles, including orange (see the "Customize a Griptilian" section on the Benchmade home page). I've never handled a 940 either, but it is a very nice looking design (reasonably long blade with slim/light form factor).

I'm really diggin' the 950 Rift. Its functional but also a great looking folder.

I just got a 943 last week- I like the blade shape better than the 940. Look into the 94Xs, lots of blade in a thin light knife.

Under 3oz? Another vote for the 707 Sequel...

The mini bone collector is another option. Can ne had with either G10 scales or Walnut for a different look. My favorite Benchmade is the Rift but it is bigger than your requirements. But I would have thought the Triage would be bigger as well.

This is such a hard question to answer, wait no it's not. If price is not a facto then 940 hands down!

if I did buy the triage it would be more of a hunting or fishing knife to take canoeing with me not an edc and held the mini bone collector with walnut handle at sportsmans wearhouse really liked that but not a fan of the D2 steal
