Whats the best edc you've owned?

I have carried a BM 942 (All black version of the Osborne 940 in 154cm) every day for over 10 years. It now looks "well used" with scratches on the black scales and a very worn surface on the black blade. It does, however still operate perfectly, in fact, better than new as far as one hand operation. The 154 cm holds a good edge and sharpens pretty easily. This is one knife that I will never part with. The perfect EDC.

Benchmade 810 contego. It's the only folder I own now days.

Also fantastic knives that I've carried for extended periods are
BM 710
ZT 0560
Spyderco manix 2 sprints
Para 2 sprints
BM bedlam

I don't think a folder gets more functional than the 810. It's fast, strong as a fixed blade, pocketable, comfortable and has high hardness M4 which is really underrated IMO.

Small Sebenza 21 hands down! Have carried the following in the past:

Case Canoe
Case Baby Butterbean
Buck Prince
Benchmade 707 Sequel
Benchmade 525 Mini Presidio
Benchmade 520 Presidio
Benchmade 950 Rift

Spyderco Sage (the one with the CF scales, whichever number that was). After 4 years in my pocket, the CF scales didn't show a single mark. By contrast, I've had my Sebenza for a month and it looks like it's been to Hell and back. Also, despite not taking the kind of care I should have with regard to maintenance and such, it still closed up smoothly and locked up tight.

I'd like to second the BM Contego as a fantastic knife. I recently started to carry mine so no long term use reports as of yet. Only time will tell but I think it may be one of the all around best folding knives I've ever owned.

The Lock strength, blade length, design and steel are top of the line. Ergo's are fine for me and I like the esthetics too. It's one tough knife.

I find myself asking when considering a new knife how does it compare to the Contego. At its price point I've yet to find it's equal....

It has to be my Emerson CQC-8. It is the right blade shape for most chores, and it just feels good in the pocket; not too heavy, and opens quickly.

The only reason I don't carry my PM2 every day is because it's all black and sometimes I want to carry something with a metal finish.

I guess my best and longest carried are two different knives. The one I carried the longest was my Cold Steel American Lawman, a great knife. I carried it for probably 2 years.
But my "best" (read favorite) is my Benchmade 913 D2 Nitrous Stryker. I've been carrying it off and on for about a year and it's spectacular.

I like the function and apearance of the Buck folding Kalinga, its light for its size when compared to the Cheetah. Been carrying it for 3 years after it replaced my Katz Cheetah that I carried for close to 15 years and saw alot of use on the job.
