Whats the best fixed blade hunting knife under $100.00

ain't it the truth.. but.. even a beat up (well maintained) leather sheath looks cool.. ;)

i've got to admit i am ignorant of bark river knives. i think finding out about them is going to cost me money, they seem to have my own preferences firmly in mind.. not coated, convex edges, focused on utility, don't insist on stainless.. hmm. I think I am related to these people....maybe we were cousins separated at birth...:cool:
 
Another alternative to the Bark R avenue(although it's a fine place to take a stroll down!) is a cheaper option. Recently got a Marttiini Skinner which is stainless and wonderfully sharp, has a Martef coating but above all an ergonomic handle that cannot be bettered IN THE FIELD.Very safe grip as it's chequered and rubberized, don't know about deer as I don't hunt but for recent fishingtasks and field craft it's an excellently safe bet, no slip at all. About 50 dollars or less,good sheath too:thumbup:
