What's the best knife you have ever made

Who,,,me? If so shoot me a PM.
I would also like to say that there is some fantastic work pictured in this thread ! I am learning a lot from the folks on BF , thank you to everyone!

I believe Salem was referring to another post where someone couldn't get photos to post. The post has since been deleted and I have a feeling the poster has been removed from the premises.

Here is my best yet....

A scramaseax in W2, wrought iron, 15n20, 1084, and walnut.

Relatively speaking from the mind of a 12yr old... this was the "SWORD to RULE THEM ALL". I made it from a piece of scrap metal from an old barn, back in 1983. I used files, a hand drill and a hand saw. The handle was the cut-off from my hockey stick. "Not heat treated or nuttin!" That "blade" started it all for me and hangs proudly in my shop.

Rick, that looks a lot like one of my first knives.
How about a picture of one of your best?

Rick that's beautiful, again from the mind of a 12 year old. I wish I had some of the stuff I made as a young lad. I made a few decent spears as a kid.

That was the BEST blade of my life. Not from a quality perspective but a life-molding experience.

My latest favorite would be the Copper-back Musso...

Thanks, Rick, very nice knife.
Mike, beautiful knife, I really like how you did the handle. Very original. How is the wood attached to the tang?

Thanks Tom. Hidden pins and Acraglas rifle bedding epoxy. It's actually a letter opener so I doubt it's going to see heavy use. Although besides the pins, it's one of the most heavy duty knives I've made with all that steel for the bolsters. I came up with that handle shape so I could engrave a name in a prominent spot, right down the middle, but still showcase the wood, which was cut down and processed by the first person to order this design.

Here's a pic of the other side:

Mike, I remember you posting that when it was finished. If memory serves me, all that engraving was "extra". I have always been curious as to how well the reveal went as I think it was purchased as a gift.

Lots of top shelf work here. I pray one day to be confident enough to post something alongside some of the names above me.

Chris

I have been dabbling in knife making lately. This was my most recent completion, therefore it was my best so far. Aldo's 1084, stonewash finish, and textured micarta handle.
