What's the biggest knife you carry in your front pocket ?

A “4 blade is usually my limit. My Hinderer Xm-24 is the largest/heaviest blade I comfortably carry.

Largest I’ll go is my Super Roadhouse. I need to send that muther in for repairs though. The lockface is all effed up.

Only knives I carry in my front pocket are traditional knives and nothing with a clip and the largest of that I carry is probably my LionSteel Roundhead

4” Cold Steel Recon 1. Other big knives I carry are an Endura 4, Gayle Bradley 2, ZT0620 and CS Rajah III. All in the 3.5-4” range.

I doubt I would ever carry bigger or buy a folder over 4”.

Have you tried a Police4 yet? :)

My Adamas is the biggest/heaviest/bulkiest folder I will clip in my front pocket.
Edit: I have to admit that everything else I carry I don't even know is there. Spyderco's, ZT's, other Benchmade's.....they just vanish in the pocket. That Adamas is brutal.

Buck 110 LT with a dangler clip (pics later). Mercator lockback with same rig. With deep pockets in my carpenter's jeans, I know I could go big with even my BK-15 in the right sort of sheath, but I don't need to. Anywhere I'd need or want my BK-15 I would rather have it on belt or pack or in saddlebags.

But most else, like Opinel N°10 and 12 go in back pocket.

I agree removing the clip changes what I would carry drastically ... I carry mid to slightly larger knives most days ... the heaviest probably being a ZT 0909 but that's with clip ...

the only knives I carry without clips are traditionals ... largest on occasion a Case Full Sized Trapper but its very rare ... mostly a SAK Alox Farmer or a Lionsteel Roundhead or Mini Trapper is about as big as I will carry without a clip. I guess do I carry a GEC 48 Improved Trapper during trapping season it might be slightly larger but it's not an EDC carry for me.

Largest for myself is about 3.5"...

Now I have a couple co-workers thay carry 5.5-6" cold steel monstrosities...

I've done larger 5 1/4 clasp knives and swell center folding hunters with no trouble. I've always found that length isn't a huge problem, but thickness is with carrying large folders.

As an aside, I once knew a guy that worked nights, and carried a full sized folding bowie like -

.

He'd run his belt through the belt loop like normal, but then tuck the sheath into his jeans pocket. I was surprised when I saw it, and always thought it was a slick set up.

For me, it's more about weight than length. I don't believe that I need a 4+ inch blade in my life, but here I am, trying to fit my cold steel recon 1 into my front pocket. I really prefer a closed length of 4 inches or below, because I usually carry other things in either pocket (keys, wallet, phone). But I would never put any in my back pocket, because I will 100% lose it.

It honestly looks like the handle would touch the bottom of my pocket, and then rise up so the pocket clip isn't down all the way. For my big knife, I use it as a sweatpants knife, but that's more about what's competing in my pocket

I have been carrying my military for a month now.I used to limit it to 3.5 inch but the Milly is just growing on me.
