What's the biggest knife you carry in your front pocket ?

I remove the clips from all my knives so that plays a role.
Well it may sound like I'm making this up or I have a high tolerance for annoying things but . . .
I can and do carry my Holdout One often in my front pocket. I have carried it all day at work; on my feet all day and hardly knew it was there. A very pocket friendly knife especially considering the size ~ 6inch blade.
As far as taking the clip off here is a photo of when I was carrying it with no clip because I had put the long clip from that knife on the shortest Holdout the III ( I have since got another long clip and so the largest Holdout now has a clip again). Funny thing is the handle is so long that the end of the knife rides at the top of my pocket clip or no clip.

One I do not carry in my pocket is the Griptillian. It is thick handled and I carry it in a belt pouch (love that knife !).
But the Cold Steel Large Voyager works in my front pocket and of course the Gayle Bradley; it just happened to be in this old photo.

Probably the next longest blade knife would be the 710.
WARNING do not carry one of these in your back pocket unless you put the clip on so the blade spine is in the corner of your pocket; I had it spine out and a handkerchief snagged on the blade and opened it. It was so sharp it felt like it scratched me but it stabbed me. It's embarrassing to start leaking red stuff while you are sitting in a restaurant.

PS :
Spyderco Military,
Thanks for reminding me . . . yep no problem.

The biggest knife I’ve ever carried loose in my front pocket is the Buck 110. It’s not terrible but you will not forget it’s there. I regularly carry 4 layer saks and full sized Trappers loose in my pocket with no issues.

Nope not this kid. The 110 is like carrying a hammer head in my pocket and the Trappers (great, great knives . . . but in my belt pouch ) but loose in pocket the Trapper is like an eight foot 2x4 in my pocket teetering across my thigh . . . nope , nope can't do it.

I pocket carried (RFP) a 110 for 4 years in college, another 10-1/2 on active duty and then for a while after that until Buck came out with the Bucklite Max 486. That got replaced with a Buck 510 about 2 years ago.

That's deep loose carry. I have a Pro-Tech TR4 clipped to my RFP as well.

I have also carried a Kabar 1122 (LFP) rigger's knife near daily since 1982.

The biggest knives I carry in my front pocket are the Cold Steel Recon 1, Spyderco Military and Spyderco Police 4. However, I usually move them to my back pocket when I choose to carry a second smaller knife.

Like several others in this thread, the Police 4 has really impressed me. It has a 4.5" blade of K390 with good slicing geometry, yet the knife is so slender that I forget I have it on me.

My Real Steel Megalodon. Its just under 9 inches and thats right about my limit for a folder.

I've has a CQC-8 in my RF pocket for so long that I don't even know it's there.
I've also been known to sport a CS Large Voyager, Adamas or even the 4-max there as well.
I'm apprehensive about the rear pocket as i am afraid of loss .. and car seats.

I used to carry an crkt m21 plain Edge right up until about two years ago. Really likes that as a tough EDC abusable flipper. It was a little heavy but the shape of it made it reasonable to carry. Wouldn't go much bigger or heavier I don't think.

Lately I've been jamming a small, clipless sebenza in the coin pocket on my jeans; it sits diagonally across the pocket and has really changed how I approach carrying a knife. Also found that a GEC 73 fits nicely. The maximum length (in the jeans I wear) for the knife not to stick out seems to be just under 4" closed.

Otherwise, the largest I routinely carry is a PM2 or a large sebenza.

Cold Steel XL Voyager clip point, front right pocket. Sometimes I carry it in a back pocket. Sometimes (rarely) I use the clip.

Quote in part taken from Jerry Busse' post:

PARK RANGER
Specs:
OAL: Approx. 8.4"
Blade Length: Approx. 4"
Steel: INFI or SR-101
Hardness: 58-60 Rc
Blade Width at Widest point: Approx. 1.3"
Thickness: Approx. .145"

Busse Combat is proud to introduce this thin EDC with a very ergonomic, full-length handle.

It features a thinly ground drop point blade that makes it perfect for use as a skinner or EDC.

I carry one of these paired with a Spyderco Urban K390 daily. The pair of them can handle just about anything that my job will toss my way.

This is carried in my RFP in a custom Kydex sheath with a pocket clip. The Urban is carried in LFP or RRP depending upon what else I have on me for the day.
