Everyones real quick to tell you how expensive the EDC knife they have here's a twist on an old theme, what's the cheapest knife you carry?

Mine is a 1976 Queen Serpentine Jack I bought for $3 at a Flea Market or yardsale.

my cheapest 2 are:

slipjoint from you, cost was the american 2cents($1cdn)...

cheapest hard use? Spydie FRN Cricket ATS-55/SE, 26usd shipped.

It belonged to my Grandpa. I think it must be pretty old. It's like a cross between a Classic and a Rambler. It has a small blade, nail file and cap lifter/flat screwdriver, toothpick, tweezers.

For a while there I was carrying a cheap and I mean cheaply made promotional knife given to me by my employer, but I lost it. I now carry my Gerber EZ-Out which I paid $40 CDN (about $26US) back ten years ago or so.

I seem to carry this one for a while then put it away for a long while then pick it up again.

When making knives I always say "I'm keeping this one for me" but then someone comes along that really likes it and I'm back to my EZ-Out or no knife at all.

I paid $13.00 for a V'nox silver Alox Bantam. It has become the companion to my small Sebbie. It's a great little knife and I love the combo tool that is paired with the blade.

Interesting thread!

My cheapest blade is a gold TiNi coated Swiss-Tech Utili-Key that I got for $7.

My cheapest regular knife is a green Spyderco Jester PE that I paid around $20 for.

A CRKT Mirage wharncliffe for $10.00 during the closeout sales when they were discontinued.

My cheapest (price-wise) that I carry as an EDC is my SS PE Spyderco Delica...Unless you count my SOG CrossCut as a "knife".:).

My two cheapest are the Kershaw Chive on my keyring - $22 and my Blackwood CC knife in my wallet - $55

The cheapest knife in my rotation is my Leek (standard finish) that I got for ~$30 at a show.

probably a BM axis folder, i have a few and hey are all around the 100 dollar mark

SAK Soldier.

Only around $30 CDN and its fit, finish and overall quality easily surpass knives costing three times that amount from certain other companies.

It can usually be found in my left front pocket while my Starmate occupies the right.

Opinel No. 8 -- $9 Gets real sharp. In like the blade size and shape, works great. Holds edge OK but is real easy to resharpen. Patina on carbon steel blade gives character, doesn't look like a weapon to the ignorant when I whip it out at the office. Cheap if lost.
