What's the deal with framelocks?

What about the Kershaw Onion series? Leek and Shallot are two relatively inexpensive classic symmetrical framelocks. Also the Volt III - very inexpensive knife.
 
For textured lock side, I didn't see the obvious ZT 560/561 or any Strider dgg mentioned...
