What's the most Busses you ever bought at one time ?

I've bought one at a time from the secondary market.

two busse, one scrap yard and just bought a swamp warden.

one day I'll save up enough to get two or maybe even three :D

what you seem to be looking for is a communistic democracy, where everyone gets a small piece of the pie regardless of who is capable of paying what at any given time. This is not possible from a production perspective, busse is only able to make x amount of knives at any given time, and offer a limited selection in order keep a decent wait time.

you can order whatever you like from busse when they have them available at msrp. you can order whatever you like from the company store if you are willing to spend the time to be there when they are first offered. you are able to purchase whatever you want if you are willing spend the money to buy them. It is not possible to remove this limiters.

This is capitalism, there are no victims here.

if you want more, you spend more, or you spend more time/effort trying to get it at a lower price.

I don't intend to sound confrontational or unpleasant. That topic has just been brought up several times before and has generally not gone all that well. And I don't believe that anyone should be made to feel bad for making honest money or spending it after earning it - unless they are doing so while maintaining a tax bracket that is sub poverty level using financial and political loop holes. because then its tainted money :barf::)


I think 4... They were NIP's, and I bought so many because they were very cheap at the time.
 
I just ordered two ASh-1's from Busse. Other than that I only have one so,just one at a time.Kinda measly so far but I am picky and only buy for my personal use so far.

I was gonna stay off this thread... But since Dennis in MA decided to call me a turd bucket... This is for YOU, Dennis. Oh, & BTW... 27 Wardens was NOT the total amount of knives I bought that weekend. The actual total was higher. 27 was how many Skelly's I bought. ;)

You're reading far too deeply into what I'm saying, I'm not looking for communist democracy. Far from it. My commentary is not directed at the inventory deployment at all, but the few participants who **** all over it.

By some small miracle I was able to get my hands on a few FBM when they were introduced at the BCS, I took what I thought was fair and left. In a perfect world everyone would do the same - this isn't a perfect world.

Even if you aren't buying piles for the sole purpose of reselling for profit - you may still take more than what you really want and simply try to recoup your costs...

So as you've said - I'm sure the horse is beyond pulp at this point - but the topic was brought up and I added my two cents. Take it for what it's worth.

Neither the system nor the people (good guys or bad) are going to keep me from getting my snout in the trough!
 
Was 27 the total amount I've ever bought at an event or offering??? Nope... And there's at least 6 blades not photo'd here that also came home from BLADE'07 with me. :cool:

I remember my warning. I should have taken the blue pill and woken up happily surrounded by Benchmades.
 
Even as you read this I eagerly await the arrival of my very first Busse from distant shores.

It's all I can do not to run my charge card off the charts. ;)
Both are currently at zero so it's tough not to get a few more Busses.
I have another expensive fly reel on order or I would get more.
It's a pain having several addictions at the same time. :(

not trying to start anything but I would think that outside of collecting, you would only NEED one of each.

Some HOGs collect heaps because they want heaps.

Some might do it for the money.

Some may (I think this would be close to the truth) resell at a higher price because of two reasons, the first being that demand will get them the price they ask, and the second being that they need more to cover the interest the credit companies dump on them

Most i have bought of a Busse at a time was 3, most at a time of the "families" (ie:SR,Busse,SY) was 6 all diff models some from the store some secondary.
 
Mostly just 1 or 2 of any given knife. Once I bought 3 of one type of knife and the most I ever spent in one go on a ganza was about $1800 for 3 different knives.
