what's the most "comfortable" knife you own?

For me it is the old BUCK 110. I've used them for so long they just feel like a knife is supposed to.

I would have to say it's my Camillus/Becker BK7 Combat/Utility. It fits my hand as if it was made for ME, and there are NO sharp-edges anywhere around the grip.

The Cold Steel Tai Pan (that I received today from a trade) also feels GREAT in my hand, due to the Kraton (rubber) grip and the excellent balance.

As for a folder...It is the G-10 Spyderco Police model that is the most "comfortable", in my hand.
It's over 14 months later, so it's time for an up-date:

*My most comfortable fixed-blade: STILL the CS Tai-Pan. I traded-off the one mentioned in my old post, but a couple days ago I made a trade for another one.:).

2nd place, would be my Blackjack Applegate/Fairbairn Fighter Dagger, as the handle fills my large hand perfectly, and is smooth without being slippery.

*My most comfortable folder: My Benchmade 805 TSEK...That model fits me like it was MADE for MY large hand, and it has a VERY secure grip, due to the index-finger cut-out.

2nd place, would be my Benchmade 721s...Mel Pardue KNOWS how to design a folder that FITS a hand, and the rounded end of the grip doesn't "dig in"!

Spyderco Military, Spyderco Calypso Jr., Camillus Heat, Benchmade mini AFCK, all top notch ergos !! IMO

Time for an update indeed!
It might not look like it, but my Jens Ansø customized Camillus CQB-1 is the most comfortable knife I have for "normal" knife duties (everyday use, kitchen, etc)

This texture might look rough, but it's extremely nice and secure!
I guess that my Busse Jungle Defender would take over for harder use.

My favorate knife is spyderco Native C41, but was confiscated in the ariport. I took it almost one year :grumpy: , and it is still sharper like an rezor. Now I am carring Benchmade 750, but not carfotable than C41.

My self finished Snakewood Eklund scandi, carbon steel and a blade just under 4':

almost a tie between my crawford perfigo and my emerson CQC8, the CQC8 wins by a nose though, both fit my hand VERY well.......i often compare the 2, and the CQC8 always wins.

Handle comfort depends on one's hold(s) and obviously one's own hands -
so it's not surprising if YMMV.

I like the Hendrix #11 fixed blade semi-skinner -

Photos show the way I normally would hold a knife - I then just opened my hand to show how the handle would fit in the hand.

But I also try out all these other holds -

I posted a thread in the Knife Reviews & Testing section -
trying to figure out handle ergonomics and comfort in a sort of organized/logical way - there are a lot more photos, and some very interesting input from other BF members -

My most comfy fixed blade would be my Spydie Fred Perrin, although it's not like I have a lot, my only other one being a Western W49, which is also pretty comfortable.

As far as folders go, I think my most comfortable might actually be my Benchmade balisongs. The flat shape just feels really good in my hand for some reason. My 630 and 806 are close though.

Folder: Camillus Dominator.

Fixed: Old Gerber A450, Armorhide handle similar in design to Loveless knives. Not fond of the Aluminum in cold weather, but by far the most comfortable to me.

Emersom Commander, with my Kershaw Bump a close second. Emerson CQC 10 a very close third:)
