I only own one custom (so far), a DDR small, sculpted Apogee. To steal a line from those credit card folks, I don't leave home without it.

He doesn't have a website, but he has posted here at BF a few times over the last couple of years.
You can see pics of most of his knives at Les Robertson's website.

I agree with Robb. Mine is the D.C.Munroe Chimera too...absolutely one of the MOST awesome knives made ANYWHERE at ANY PRICE..the craftsmanship, cutting edge material...Awesomeeeeeeeeeee

Hi Les,

I mentioned your name because you have clarified the Sebenza issue so many times....well, I guess it's not so bad to hear it again.

My daily carry will be changing soon. I hope to get my hands on a Bill Ruple multiblade (after the IRS and accountant is paid and there is anything left!)

The one and only...........MADD MAXX!

That would be my small left hand Apogee. Soon I will bwe getting a medium recurve from Tom Mayo and I will rotate the two.

My daily carry is a Kit Carson LDC8. My most used and abused fixed blade is a John Fitch Ozark Camp Knife.

This is the one that broke the bank for me. I carry it on weekends and whenever a “Dress-up” occasion occurs. DDR Millenium Apogee #2 of 5, Darrel said that this is the only small Apogee with his unfolded Damascus Blade and Illusion release.

It's a fine line between "a hobby" and "mental illness".

Here's mine, it's from Martin Pullen -

Even though clearly a production knife, I carry large wood inlayed sebbie, and like DrDMJ, am awaiting arrival of my Bill Ruple mini-trapper w/stag handle. So one "real" custom, and one not-so-custom. As far as wood inlayed sebenzas and gold coin sebenzas; one could say being that only 60 of one and 20 of another being produced is kind of custom. A lot of so called "custom knives" are produced in large quantities, i.e., Chew knives. I think true custom knives are one of a kind of very limited volume.

I have a drop point frame lock from Elishewitz and a recurve drop point frame lock from D. Ralph that get a lot of use, both were about four bills. Much more money than that and I worry.

Forged Cobalt 6B fixed blade, forged by Steve Schwarzer & finished out by Kit Carson. Kit told me he hoped I would use it and report back, to produce some feedback on performance. Couldn't bring myself to use it really hard, so I sent it to Cliff Stamp. After playing with it for a year, Cliff says it's still in one piece, so I'm hoping to see it again some day. Details on his website.

Oh, almost forgot--the knife cost $1500.

...Actually I haven't even come close to forgetting that.

I have two answers for this question.
1) Most expensive RETAIL price - My Tim Herman Sliver gets carried on special occasions. At around 900.00, it's always accompanied by my Spyderco, in case I actually need to cut something sturdier than a loose thread. Also for special occasions, my Shadley senator pattern also sees some use. Needless to say, when someone asks me "can I borrow your knife?", they do not get handed these

2) The most expensive ACTUAL price - My Emerson CQC6. For what I paid for it, it's
easily the most expensive knife I've carried.
