Whats the story behind your username?

My username is from a music type from Finland. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humppa

I´m not finish, nor are any ancestors. I´m german, specially bavarian. I liked to listen humppa music in former days. So I thought this would make a good username for me. Nothing special in anyway. I´m not even talented in playing any musich instruments :D Though I have no dea which one I would choose today - if I´d have the choice ;)

Interessting thread - BTW.

Thanks

If you can't figure out what mine stands for, then maybe your not a committed knife lover. I'll give you a hint, it has to do with knives.

Snakefinger was the guitarist for The Residents. Twisted and wonderful music. Died 1987.
Check them out at your own risk.

Anyone who has been in the Army knows that Charlie Mike means Continue Mission. That is my creed. Despite my struggles with drugs and alcohol, I remind myself to drink water, drive on, and continue mission.

My tang stamp is CMFTW. Ask any biker what FTW means (LOL). Together, it implies a message of individual optimism.

^that is awesome CharlieMike! people like you are an inspiration for many who still struggle! and great username...

416 is the area code for Toronto. Well one of them now...few years ago they introduced 647 and last year 437. Surrounding areas like Mississauga, Oakville etc had 905, some time back 289 was added, and earlier this year there was talk of adding 365. So when you are getting a call from the Greater Toronto Area it can be any of those SIX different area codes. but 416 is the original Toronto area code...
That 3/4 population is now buying a lot of mobile devices, and they have added all these area codes to keep up with demand..

A few years ago i had moved away from Toronto, and when i moved back, it was a challenge to get a 416 phone number, managed to get a couple though...

From a CBC article:
"In Toronto, the 437 area code joins the existing 416 and 647 codes. And, for those in the surrounding areas that use 905 or 289 codes — including Whitby, Burlington and Mississauga — the 365 area code will be introduced.
Both come into effect starting March 25, 2013, the Telecommunications Alliance said in a release on Wednesday.
Those signing up for new phones may still be assigned the existing area codes for the next few months — at least until they run out of numbers."

Not the most exciting...

My sons are now 12 and 16 years old. When they were younger, they did what all children do when held in the arms of a parent. They went completely limp in an effort to slither and slide out of your grasp and get back to the ground. Even my cat still does this. I call this maneuver the GravityNoodle. That is, the child (or cat) goes limp like a noodle and allows gravity to take over.

I used GravityNoodle as a screen name for many moons. I still like it.

Then, in an age of erectile dysfunction commercials on television, it struck me that GravityNoodle sounded sorta like erectile dysfunction. Yeah, I'm strange. I know.

So, I changed my name from GravityNoodle to Powernoodle. Removing the gravity and adding the power was, well, empowering.

And thus was born the American sex symbol, creative genius, humble Believer and international legend of Powernoodle.

I'm a large man named Darren. The 8es thing is that when I first signed up at aol years ago BigD was taken so was BigDee etc. and I didn't want to be BigD19 or some other number so BigDeeeeeeee it is.

I am brand spankin new to this forum, but am a lifelong knife enthusiast, having used them in rowdy adolescence, to practical EDC in the Army (hence my username), & a lifetime of hunting & fishing. Anyway glad to be here...
