What's The Strangest Knife You Own?

I'm ashamed to say this......

....I made it quite a few years back for Halloween, it seemed like a really great idea at the time, really original I thought, but after I'd made it I looked at it & thought WTF was I thinking, it's sinister.... 😲

....best part is my other half taught children at the time & would throw Halloween parties for them, it had been my intention for her to use it with the kids cutting cake, again WTF was I thinking!

😄

Kind of looks like a Kabar or Colonial or similar MKI / Mark I with a regrind and rehandle. It could have been a rotted stacked leather version that someone rehandled... they are flat ground and it looks like it may have been a regrind if it was a MKI. Could also just be someones project custom... there are people here that will do rehandles of take a mil blank and design handles, etc... I have a MORA blade that someone rehandled for me on a gun forum and I just bought a Kabar clone that's a custom with micarta handles that looks like stacked leather style, etc... probably someone's project. In the Buck group there are 119's that had the stacked leather removed and they rehandle with all kinds of things like wood from recurve bows, etc...
Definitely not a Mark I by any manufacturer; I've been collecting USN Mark I's for several decades and know 'em when I see 'em. Also, the blade's about an inch too long.

The overall impression the blade gives is of age -- 1930's thru 1940's.

I think it's cool in its own way. There are a lot of Scream based lapel pins that incorporate the knife and mask.

I've got the perfect knife for this thread, but I can't find it to take a picture. I'll have to follow up later.
I just noticed this thread, and knew the answer immediately. Unfortunately, like oldmanwilly, I don't know where it is. It's been a few years since I've seen "that thing" (not that I've been looking, lol). I've got some stuff to get done today; but I'll dig around a bit tomorrow.
