What's The Strangest Knife You Own?

Probably this one. It’s a custom, a cross between a kukri and a Bowie. Ordered it, thinking it would be a large, heavy chopper. Turns out it’s relatively small, lightweight, weirdly shaped and has strange ergos with that index finger ring. I still like it but don’t have much use for it. I should have asked a lot more questions before I pulled the trigger on it 😏

What size is it? If those boards are the size I'm thinking, maybe a 5-6" blade?

This one arrived a lttle while ago.
It might qualify as "strange"? (and "nifty" ... unusual" ...)

I added a red FOB to the "glass breaker" (no idea if it would work to break tempered glass OR a hard head) to make it easier to remove from the sheath pouch.
I haven't shot it yet, but drawing the catapult/slingshot it feels solid; no wiggly wobblies where it clips into the knife.

Since I'm not in a situation where neutralizing enemy sentries is on the agenda, or stabbing vehicles to death ... I'm not sure how handy or practical a Tanto point blade will be for my current needs.

Oh well. I thought it was nifty, had the funds, so ordered it.
Very cool!!!

It’s actually around 7”. Not small by any means but I was expecting a big, heavy 10”+ kukri style blade. Here it is next to a Buck 120. Weighs as much as the 120 as well. Not a good chopper by any means but it is a pretty good slicer and well made from A2 steel. Why? You want to buy it? 😀

It's pretty neat looking, but no thanks! 😃

This one is strange. Its a chisel, its a knife, its a sharpened clip point. Convex and razor sharp all around. It works wonders on cardboard, drywall, meat and can shear nails off at the head using the tip and a hammer. Better than a ginsu. Its ugly but it works

As requested: pics. first up is that massive Kukri. got it as a farewell gift from the Embassy in New Delhi. Second is the Indonesian kris. Also have a couple pesh kabz I brought back from Afghanistan. Last is a eagle pommel cavalry saber from the war of 1812:

I have some other oddities, but they are in storage.

Another "strangity" in todays mail call.
Swing Blade. An old "traditional" pattern/design pretty much unheard of and unknown these days.
Remington offered one in the1980's. However, they were not the first. I believe the design/pattern dates back to the 1800's or very early 1900's. (albeit with a clip point or spear point blade.)

Close is the reverse.
I don't know (or care) if the blade steel etch is accurate.
I've wanted a swing blade since I was a teen in the 60's and 70's, after seeing an antique swing blade in one of my da's gun mags or Gun Digest.

NO BRAND NAME anywhere, so it "can't" be a clone. Just a reproduction of an old design, with futuristic molded or stamped carvings on the 4 sides of the handle.

This is an addition to my long term EDC group.
