Whats the truth about the Bravo 1?

My bad, I forgot what the crime was. Here's the big thread http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58593

Heardheart, can you fix that link?

Always curious, what was the final verdict from the courts and what was the sentencing, was there also civil litigation?

Private purchase does not equal military knife.

Gosh get past it. Maybe the story was written to imply but it was never claimed to be a "military knife" was it? Sounds more like a knife with design mods, bought by some military guys.

The original advertising really payed up the "recon" angle, to the point one was to infer that it was an actual military contract. Personally, I don't care, but for the sake of history, there should be a clear cut answer on this.

The truth is that is was an individual team that decided they wanted to get a knife for their team. They bought and tested the knives. Then they approached BRKT with some design changes and BRKT made the knife for them.

That is how it was presented and from what I know first hand, it is accurate.

Thanks for your input. Could you clarify what exactly it is you know of your own knowledge? Sounds like you know you sold some knives at your cost to several people whom you were told were active duty Force Recon?

I was in Mike's office one day when he was bouncing ideas off of the team leader.

I spoke to some of the guys from the team when they called.

I guess that is it. But the story matches up to what was presented.
