What type of lock and what did the knife look like overall ???

approx the same size as a sebenza

but you have to pull up on the locking mechanism...where the handle & blade meet

had to ask chris how to close it

Interesting... I'd like to know more about this new mystery folder as the info develops.

I think there's something about this on the knifecenter blog

Stay tuned.
D SOG says their Pendulum model that features a bolster that flips around to work as the blade lock will ship in August as will the Toothlock folder
Chris Reeve Grant and Gavin Hawk. Retail will be just under $500 with a unique lock on top of tHe handle. The oTher is a folder collaboration with Bill Harsey which is made in Italy. Only 440 made the Razonal half gray and half black handles retail at under $200. All are inspected by Chris Reeve who is very meticulous about quality.

i saw that folder on the bottom shelf but didn't pay much attention to it nice it was branded with another name. Didn't appear to me to be a CRK. Very nice looking though.
What looked to be new to me was their kitchen knives. Very cool. i am going to try one since I am in the restaurant business.

Interesting. I have an old Rigid knife that sounds similar (as far as lock type) and I have always loved the lock design. I wonder if they are similar at all.

Would you describe this locking mechanism on the CRK as similar to a mid lock except you lift on the lock near the pivot instead of push the other end of the lever/lock bar?

Neil (TNK) tweeted a little over thirty minutes ago that this new CRK knife, the Ti-Lock folder, won the overall knife of the year award at Blade, which is going on right now.

Hopefully he can chime in with more details, along with photos.

Chris is hot again! :)

The Umnumzaan last time around, the Sikayo(s), Nyala, and Insingo, he's on top of his game. I'm interested in the collaborations, too.
