What's this new knife at blade I'm hearing about!?

I spotted the knife at another forum. The guy who took the pic is BF member Spiralarchitect. Please dont post the image on this forum, as hes not too fond of people reposting his pics without permission. I found that out when i reposted the ZT0550 pics i found on britishblades.com

Anyways, here it is, the new CRK, courtesey of BF member Spiralarchitect:

EDIT:

Spiralarchitect was kind of enough to give his permission to post these pics on BF, so behold the CRK Ti-Lock :D

Oh i see how it works. the spring is the blue thing attached to the blade. the lock bar on the back of the spring falls into the slot on the handle. you have to push up on the lock bar to close it. I will reserve judgment until i get one in my hand, however it should be good based on CRK's track record.

Remarkable how nothing turns into rumor turns into fact!!!

NO - we are not planning on discontinuing the Sebenza. I have no idea who that came from but, at best, it is someone speculating and that speculation being misconstrued.

Information about the Ti-Lock coming soon - there are just not enough hours in a day to be able to be at the show and get all the info out!

Anne

Thanks for the word on the Sebenzas!

The internet is a big hungry animal that needs to be fed constantly, and it will eat junk food if nothing else is available. :D

That's probably the best internet analogy I have ever heard.

And I like the knife! Can't wait to hold one and see what the lock feels like. Other than, I think it's a real looker.

That new Ti-lock looks really cool, maybe a little too fancy for me but time will tell. I'm waiting for the official pics and specs eagerly.

Anne it was really great to see you and Chris at the show.
Congrats on the 2 Blade Magazine awards........

Have a safe trip home and I look forward to seeing you guys next year.........(unless you decide to visit Cape Town:D)

Best wishes and regards........Steven

I just saw the pics of the knife on youtube and a new thread that was started. I must say I am not initially impressed with the new folder. Too futuristic for me ... Only time will tell. I will spend my money on other sebenzas, mnandi, or umnumzaans.

On a side note, I dont see CRK doing away with the sebenza. They already discontinued the OPR and I am sure that hurt them a little. The Sebenza is their mainstay.....it would be like Ford no longer making the F150 !!! I dont see it happening.

WELL, I am going to eat my words on this one. The quick youtube.com pic does not give this knife justice. After seeing a Great/Quality/Clear Pic, this knife looks awsome. I am looking forward to seeing how the lock works. It looks like it has dual-studs built into the end back-spring on the blade. A push up on the lock looks to disengage and close it. Very Cool knife. I apologize to Mr. Reeve for my initial thoughts. I do not see this knife replacing my favorite folder of all time CRK Umnumzaan, or my sebenzas and mnandi's , But I do see it riding right along side them in my pocket one day. Cant Wait to get all the particulars of this knife !!!
