What's under the tree?

I didn’t receive any knives or knife-related gifts this year, as my parents, wife, and friends gave me some gifts for other hobbies of mine so it's alright! I purchased several knives for myself over the Thanksgiving/Christmas time period, so it's all good.

That said, we're sitting here watching some Christmas TV and I'm idling on the internet looking at a possible final purchase for the year, so you know, usual activities! 🤣

I received a couple of Cutluxe knives for the kitchen. A 12" slicer and a 6" boning knife.
Seem to be 1.4116 steel - out of the box decently sharp and feel good in hand.
chopped up a pineapple with the boning knife and I can see it getting some more use.
we'll see how they hold up, but should be a perfectly serviceable set

I too have been eyeing the exchange for the last of the year purchase, it has been hard, but doing ok with other purchases and I got a nice pocket knife for Christmas from my sister-in-law, a folder with Damascus blade and nice file work, it is cool, may be lower layer Damascus but it is well put together.

Oldest son (who inherited the knife-nut gene) got me a Superblue Spyderco Delica with gray-blue zome FRN scales. After 35-36 years of carrying various Spyderco knives, I still come back to the Delica.

My bride brought me a Hinderer Eklipse 3.5 triway with blue G10 scales and a spearpoint blade for Christmas. It is really well made and it is the first one that I have ever had the chance to hold. It is quite the beast.
