What's up with John Landi?

I've had good dealings with John in the past, but more than a month ago I sent him a S90V mule and $75 for a handle. That's the last I've heard from him. He doesn't respond to emails, and when I try to PM him I get a message that he's not accepting PMs.

Is he OK? Does anyone know what's up?

I have done a transaction with him and he's a very good person. His son was sick and that consumed most of his time so just sort of bear with him. He will come through

I have your mule on my bench, waiting for a shipment of CF. I do check my email every couple hours.

I did shut off my pm's, I was getting several dozen pms a day and couldn't keep up with the 75 limit...

You pressured me into sending you the mule and money because you said you already had paid for the materials. I sent you the mule and money immediately. Since then, almost 2 months, nothing. No response. No reply to my emails. Your PMs turned off.

I have no idea what is going on and no way to get you to respond. Just send me back my mule. Keep the $75 I sent you for a handle, but please ship my mule back to me with a tracking number and insurance.

I responded to your last public request, I sent you my email and let you know that I was waiting for a shipment of carbon. I also turned my PM back on to get you an update since then.

I haven't received any emails from you, if I did I would have responded, I check my email every couple hours, individuals who have dealt me me can speak to that.

The CF panel arrived on Monday, your knife and six others that were waiting for it are in glued up and will be contoured within the next 48 hours.

I will have your knife out to you by Friday.

Your knife has CF scales glued to it, I will be contouring it within 48 hours and will ship it to you as soon as it is done.

Dude, calm down.

First I would check whatever email you are using, spam filter included.

Second, I will personally vouch for John. Emails are followed by prompt replies and I've never been disappointed with any of his work. :thumbup: I can't imagine having anything negative to say about him. If your handles are already glued, forget it. I wouldn't make something halfway and then ship it back, I don't think he should either.
 
Twindog really calm down, if this is th only place you can contact each other then do that. It seems your email address might be considered spam in Landi's email box, because of a filter he made or the default ones. He will make it right, (and probably more). Give him time.
 
I accept that John is a good person who has a good record. I posted here not to beat John up, but because I couldn't reach him by email and his PMs were turned off. I thought maybe something had happened to him. He responded here by giving me his email, which I have tried without any luck. That was a month ago.

I don't have trouble emailing anyone else, so it's something unique between our computer systems, and I don't have the ability to sort that out.

I'm not blaming John. I am just asking that he return my mule. I would prefer to deal with an unfinished handle than wait another month without contact.
 
fwiw, my primary email server doens't like gmail accounts. or hotmail for that matter.

i now use a yahool account for bfc transactions, and have had no issues receiving from either.

Me personally, I have had nothing but great communication from John as have others.

I agree and think it was probably one of your spam filters blocking your emails.

Sometimes visitor messages are the only option.:thumbup:

Anytime I have emailed John ( numerous times ) he responded within a few hours.

He's good solid folk....and hes from the Burgh.

John's one of the good guys, you can also communicate with him at his website if you haven't tried that. Do a search for Landi Knives, it'll take you right there.
