As it turns out......I was right.....on all counts.
Funny how that works.
Nice folks, nice gun shop.....and if my instincts serve me well--nice knives.
Those funny-looking sheaths are old Buck Custom sheaths.
I told them they weren't NIB and the sheaths were wrong and that they could keep those wrong boxes and they made me an offer I couldn't refuse.
Turns out one of the knives is a Third Version/Ninth Variation (what used to be called a Seventh Variation). I like those.
Sure hope my instincts don't fail me on this one. I'll let you know.
