What's you all in 1 survival tool?

What he said. ...I mean my brain not his ... unless he is smarter then me then I want his brain. Can I keep mine as a back up?
As for knives, so many to pick from. I feel it should be a smaller one , you are more likely to have it when needed. BK11.

Two brains is better than one, lets just combine them lol I like my Winkler belt knife so that's my vote.

The only tool I can't improvise where I live....

Water purifier/cooking container/water transporter/body warmer.

And I would be dead/sick/useless without it in 3 days or less.

I'm talking about actual tools because face it you could be the smartest man in the world but without a tool of some sorts you're kinda screwed.

A good knife.

If you meant "multi-tool," it would be my Hoffritz/Vic SAK Champion.

You keep opening threads on the same subject, as if the right "survival" knife is going to magically turn somebody into an expert.

The fact is, is that you could have the "best tools" in the world but without a skill set, you are done for.

Unless, of course, by "survival" you are talking about outdoor recreation... which most people seem to be. Then it really doesn't matter.

How so? I feel many survivor stories actually demonstrate that they survived because of their mental fortitude, and rarely do any of them have tools. Hence, survival.

In all reality, it would be whatever is in my EDC rotation, since that is what I will have with me if an unexpected situation arises.

As others have noted your wrong. The ability to make tools through knowledge is key to surviving. If you think a knife is the key to your survivability you have some thinking and research to do. Sure tools make things easier but they break and can be lost. Your mind will always be in your skull..or should always be in there anyways lol

We are getting off subject I'm simply curious what every ones favorite all in 1 survival/bushcraft tool will be not what you can do with experience and your imagination.

I'm not opening multiple threads to find a magical tool I'm just opening threads on subjects I'm curious about, I already found my tools for what I'm looking for a long time ago.

I'm not sure what you're talking about but my mind hasn't been in my skull for over 3 years now, I've put up missing fliers and even offered a 50 dollar reward to anyone who found it but still no luck :(

You can't do anything without experience and your imagination. A knife, or a hatchet, or a fgire steel, or a water bottle is not going to magically give you skills. They are useless without skills.

Lol I thought I saw a brain with a suitcase hitch hiking the other day.

What people are saying is work on your knowledge of the situation you intend to survive. There is no one answer or tool to surviving. There Is so many possibilities and scenarios. Your best asset is your brain.
