I'm sure I'm not the only one who's got certain knives they go to when they're aware that it's going to get the *($% beat out of it.
When I plan on scraping, whacking, twisting, etc. I go to my benchmade 551 griptillian, mainly because it was my first "high end" blade so I've had it the longest. I learned how to sharpen well on it, and scratched it to hell. I carried it daily for years, and scratched it to hell. It's just not pretty anymore but still super solid, so it's my go to beater as far as folders go. For fixed blades? Moras.

Have an Endura 4 on the way...plan on putting that name to the test..

Unless you're planning on prying up some sidewalks, it'll take whatever you throw at it Icky!! Great beater!!
My 2 beaters were picked up off the Exchange for cheap.
Franken Native with s35vn.....$40.
Millie......$60.
I use both as work knives and they have been beaten hard for about 8 months. Both are still centered with smooth action!

I have the special team for that kind of job: Leathermann Surge, Victorinox Soldier and Swamp Rat Rodent Solution. If there is no opportunity to prepare all can make any of my EDC knives - Strider SnG, ZT 0630, Emerson CQC-13.

I usually have a multi-tool or Victorinox on me, so no need to use a knife for prying, scraping, can opening ect. but when I have to pull spent 12g cases that are stuck in the chamber I use a Cold Steel Recon 1, because its one of my lowest priced folders, and being AUS-8 easier to fix a bent or chipped tip.

Stainless mora companion for me. Cheap, plentiful and breaking the tip off of one doesn't make me want to cry.

This.
Although the carbon steel companion HD is a pretty damn good beater as well. Same price but that thick blade blade is just begging for an ass whoopin'.

Depending on tasks, my beater blade lineup is made up of;

Folders:
Kershaw Blur (Blems, partially serrated)
Kizlyar Supreme Ute
CRKT Free Range Folder
Buck Bantam
Kershaw Thermite
Boker Magnum Ironworker
Kilimanjaro Vertice

Fixed:
Mora HighQ
KaBar bk15 & bk5
Gerber Gator Machete
Tramontina Machete

Those are the ones I go to respectively for the worst of the worst jobs.

*SAK Huntsman, Leatherman Wingman

All my keepers, ones i have not sold or parted with, tend to be the ones I use most and beat on the best. They get the most love since they stick around the longest.

Wow..some great deals there..I found the Endura on the exchange as well..That Millie you have looks great...a steal at $60.. An FRN Native is on my list as well..

My beater is the Vic SAK I carry every day. I have a specific knife I use for scraping (CRKT Razel) beyond something that takes a minute or three. I have three Razel's to choose from depending on the job.
