What's your beater knife/knives?

Benchmade 761. It has all the qualities of a beater (for me) in spades.
Very light.
Slim profile.
Hard and tough blade, ground thin (m390).
Super easy deployment/secure lock.
Only downside for me is the tip down clip, but I've made an exception for this model.

Emerson Super 7 for folder

Busse Hellrazor for fixed (sometimes TGLB)

By beater, I mean the knife I use most--not necessarily abuse, but use hard, often, and for just about everything one uses a knife for... sometimes that includes prying and twisting.

They both have take on and accomplished every task I put them to. The Emerson is my edc, and the Hellrazor is my "go to" when hiking, etc... They were both with me just last week when hiking in and around Joshua Tree.

Ok ok.... I guess my Emerson CQC-7aw for folders and my Swamp Rat swamp warden fixed blade Then The Camp Tramp for big tasks

As far as fixed blades go, I always keep my Gerber Bear Grylls Ultimate Survival knife in my pack. Despite it's many short comings, it is more than adequate for tasks that I don't want to subject my nicer knives to (prying, digging, makeshift bollard to tie off kayak)

My Kershaw Emerson CQC4k has become the knife that I carry most days at work. I use it for everything from stripping wire, cutting zip ties and hoses, I've even MacGyvered a gasket for my soda blast machine out of a 1/4" thick truck mud flap with it. And no matter what abuse I put it through, a couple of minutes on the stones and it is good to go.

My folding beaters are my Elmax Paramilitary 2, Cold Steel Ultimate Hunter, and whichever SAK I have on me at the time. They've all done very well in the jobs I've put them to, and held up well.

Fixed blades, Bark River Kephart. then a knife of my personal design I made at a grind in, and lastly a Northwoods Hiawatha.

I gotta say my xm18 slicer grind with 20cv is my beater. I got it for a steal and absolutely love it. Typically my rule of thumb for using a knife as a beater is that if it broke or I lost it, the value of that knife can't be so much that I won't be able to replace it immediately. So no beater customs for me yet:D

Unless you're planning on prying up some sidewalks, it'll take whatever you throw at it Icky!! Great beater!!
My 2 beaters were picked up off the Exchange for cheap.
Franken Native with s35vn.....$40.
Millie......$60.
I use both as work knives and they have been beaten hard for about 8 months. Both are still centered with smooth action!

I'm about to come into posession of a Manix 2 and an FRN delica, I'm thinking the Manix might become somewhat of a beater for me. What're your thoughts on the blade shape of the Native?

I love it. It's a monster slicer and plenty tough! I love how Spydie rounded the spine also. Gimping is perfect and the choil allows you to choke way up.
I use mine as a work knife so it gets abused and just keeps cutting.
Mine is s35vn so it hold an edge well and sharpens easily.
It also locks up extremely tight......great little knife!
