When a cinder block or a piece a rebar needs to be cut in half, or you feel like carving your name in the pavement, what knife do you reach for? For me, it's my SOG mini autoclip.

I have several SOG autoclips. I clip one on if I'm going somewhere where I think I have a good chance of getting the thing taken away from me. They're cheap enough to abuse, for sure, but not tough enough in the handle area. But I actually love the model and, somehow, keep buying them in different colors and shapes.

I have a few CRKT knives for that, especially a big steel-handled tanto M16 that I don't care much about and one of the larger Summit Series knives and a couple of the old Commander Series knives.

I reach for my Greco Griffen if we are talking about a task that really shouldn't be executed with a knife

I grab my SRKW Battle Rat or my HI BAS Khukuri when there is a tree that shouldn't be where it is! :D

My REKAT Hobbit Fang...Although I really wouldn't call it a "beater", it IS my "use around the house knife".

I use my CRKT M-18 at work every day to do all sorts of tasks that could be considered abuse- cutting gasket material on steel, cutting wire, light prying. I have to say although I don't consider this knife one of my favorites, it has held up really well.

Same here, great solid knife, love it :D

My CS Bolo machete. Very sturdy, good handle ergonomics.

When it comes to smaller cutting chores, my CRKT Neck PECK.

Cold Steel Twistmaster, it's like having a folding machete, and the Carbon V steel takes a wickedly sharp edge.

Good "JOB"! ;) He-he.:D

I would have to go with my ol' Buck 110. ;) Takes a beating and sharpens back up to a wicked sharp edge in no time.

For those bigger 'down and dirty' jobs nothing gets the job done like my $8 CS Panga Machette.

Invaluable camping tool and probably the cheapest item of all my equipment.

an 18.5" WWII. At 28oz. and 7/16" at the bolster I can chop through branches the size of my leg and could probably pry open a car door (at least the way they make cars now). On a day to day basis my little Tinker sees more use, though.

My main beater is the knife I carry to work, a Camillus EDC. My at home bater is the Buck/Strider tanto. Both are geat knives, and have handled everything I have thrown at them.
