I've been contemplating a new acquisition: either a 5 MAX, or another 4 MAX Elite. Just waiting on the optimum "sale-moment" at my favorite vendor.

4 Max Scout looks like the clear winner to me! But the SR1 doesn't look too shabby either.

True. But I don't have the newest iteration of the Elite. I'll have to agree with The Man With No Name. Strength-wise, I would give an edge to the 4 Max. Due to fact, its over-built on steroids.

I ordered the 5 Max after much deliberation. As they say: "Go big or . . . . go home!" Can't wait for the unboxing, and review. Already contemplating which paracord lanyard I'll use.

Did a recon with new 5 Max today. It exceeds the billing: a big tough warblade!!

Carried the 5 Max today. Not much difference between it and the 4 Max. Disappears in my front pocket.

I am carrying my Pocketbushman today, with the snaggletoothMF and a deep pocket clip. The way the original pocket clip sat, a lot of the knife was sticking up and out, so I removed the original and added a deep pocket clip instead. Overall, it's been pretty good, and still decent to deploy

Z Zephyr One/Zero I keep wanting to send you a private message but BF won't let me. I have an unfair question I need answering: If you could only choose one CS folder and give up the rest, which would you choose? Which knife would be the best all-arounder in your collection? (I'm currently trying to decide between another Recon 1 tanto, AD10, 4Max Scout, Black Talon 2, Tiger Claw and SR1 tanto)

That's really a hard question to answer EG. The 4 Max Scout would be my favorite all-arounder. Hard to beat the price for what your getting. Almost indestructable with the triad lock. AUS-10 steel is still, fairly-easy to maintain. The 4 Max has martial-capabilities, if needed in a last resort. I have no weight-issues carrying, or concealing it. The AD-10 would be the smaller, substitute-standard.
