What's Your Day/Night Job?

Architectural intern in between jobs for a while now.
Which has given me more time to work on my night job as a cook/cleaner/stay at home fiancé :-P

I own and operate a demolition, and excavating construction co. Soft, hard and earth moving. Anything you can think of. We'll blow it up, knock it down, scrape it up, and hall it off. Also have a general construction co, so I do a little building too. Latest business since things have gotten slow is a plumbing service co. I stay busy.

I'm a sales executive and field manager for a large flooring/interiors company that works within the homebuilding industry. So when you go buy a new house we're the one's that you meet with to pick out all your flooring, tile, counters, showers, etc. Then we get everything installed for you. My job is to manage my own builder accounts and work on bringing new homebuilders into our company. I also manage all of our installation and customer service division which has about 75 people. I absolutely LOVE my job and the industry that I work in. The only bad thing is the economy has killed things the last few years and we're pretty much in a holding pattern until things turn around. I get to wear jeans and boots to work almost everyday and walk around in the dirt. I'm on the road so much I pretty much work out of my truck off my cell and laptop.

I hide your deliveries in that area that gets wet on the porch/garage those 3"X8" boxes... your neighborhood thinks its massagers we know what it is .. we read the "FROM" area ..knives gun parts, ammo we see it all. Mostly its the same ones over and over"stay dry" :barf: AHH UPS we know if your wife is hot....and if she aint!:D

Service Provider...once a COOK

I used to be a loader at UPS for about a year and loved it!!! I'm telling you people, we knew all kinds of things about the people within our routes by their "deliveries" and by going out on deliveries with the drivers. If you REALLY had any idea what gets sent via UPS you would die!:D

And yeah, the drivers all know just how HOT your wife really is!:D

Day, CAD Tech at an engineering firm, mainly structural precast concrete. Recently ventured into project management which removes a lot of headache from the equation for me.

Night part-time, shop/fabrication drawings for a metal shop that does decorative (but structural) steel railings and fencing.

Weekends April-October, MO CCW Instructor. My true passion, helping law-abiding Missourians build skills and knowledge they need to be responsible for their own safety and the safety of their loved ones.

I've been working since I was 12 (48 now), My dad owned a furniture store so I worked unloading semi's with freight as a kid then got into the sales end and then eventually managed the store. My wife and I own a seasonal business (spring to fall) where we clean and stain/seal exterior wood---decks, docks, wood siding, cedar shake roofs, clean and seal concrete, asphalt roofs.

In our off season (there really isn't an off season when you own your own business) I do "Handyman" work in our small town and we have a moving business besides:)

The great thing with owning our own business is having our boys (22 and 17yrs old) work for us:thumbup: They may have another take on it if you were to ask them:D

My Izula is on me at all times:thumbup: In the evenings I pop a few advil to help keep the pain at bay and other than that I consume Osteo bi flex (knees) fish oil (joints), low dose aspirin (heart) and a multi-vitamin for good measure:rolleyes:---sucks gettin old:D Just don't seem to bounce back like I used to!!!
